Using human breath to inflate things adds moisture and bacteria that can shorten the life of inflatables. Being able to draw air rapidly out of inflatables has to bring more moisture out as well. BRILLIANT! This is one-sixth the size of the electric blower I use now for keyboard dust removal and inflating a camp bed from a power source. It appears to be the same size, near enough, to the 'lightbulb' style hanging lantern I use in my tent. THANKS for spreading the 'word.'

It is tiny.. and they already sell an even smaller one too.. though that isnt also a power bank. its saved me on weight taking out my powerbank and lantern though

Australian here, longtime been a 40+ year hiker. First time buying something like this. Actually arrived today. It is absolutely a superb piece of kit. The SUL crew will snub it, but for everyone else, this item is outstanding, and makes camp life even better!!!!

That's a nifty little tool when you simply do not feel like huffing and puffing to blow the mattress up yourself. And the air removal feature is pretty cool. The multiuse is appealing. The lantern feature adds value as well.

When the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir 1st came on the market I got a Camp-tek Microburst. A compact backpacking mattress inflator. It inflates my mattress in about 3 minutes and is good for 25 fillings on one set of batteries. Runs off of 2 AAA batteries and weighs 2.3 oz. Not sure when I got it but it had to be over 23 years ago before I retired and was still working. It work's on the NeoAir , Big Agnes and most other backpacking mattresses.

I picked up the Tiny Pump X from Fextailgear (same as Pump 2 Pro but smaller and has hanger and light too but no charging port to charge other things) and it's brilliant. The only problem is I needed to make a housing for it so it wouldn't turn on accidentally in my pack. It fits perfectly inside a toilet roll and with the help of some duct tape for strength and a cut out for the nozzle to allow it to slide in, all was sorted. Did a test and it ran for 15 minutes before dying which is plenty of time for my normal trips and it's rechargeable with a power bank. Great bit of kit.

@@Frankie_1967 Kickstarter mate, it’s in Hong Kong Dollars but when it’s converted it’s about £30 👍 you can get a similar thing in Tesco under the JLM brand that’s just a pump for £20 but for the extra tenner you get the lamp, charger and 5 nozzles with a bag 👍 so it’s far batter value getting this and looks better quality. 😉

Nice review! 10 times on a sleeping mat should be plenty - but thanks for including that bit! As bellows? Oh, hell yes! But a short length of hose would let you keep the unit away from embers and dust, those things'll kill a bearing/engine right quick.

The air removal feature looks very interesting, clothes or a sleeping bag may be able to go into some sort of sealing bag and then have the air sucked out to compact them right down. Don't suppose you could test it for compacting clothes?

Nice video, but to be honest its not really a buschraft/survival item...if you want to be stealthy the last thing you want is a noisy pump attracting attention. I rather use a pumpsack, 3 pumps and you get the same result. And that needs no power...For light I use a headlamp which is far more practical and I use a solar power bank to charge up my stuff if needed. Its most likely not a bad product this pump but I have no use for it... And if you are a proper bushcrafter then you wont need it either.
