@@pienixcs i'll be honest i completely disagree with this statement i've played most of the fps games i get into on an extremely high lvl i played in a pro PC COD team before going into csgo and got into a semi pro cs team back in 2017 before i quit the game, i also managed to solo Masters in Apex this season with only 140 hours which is a track focused game, COD is a switch heavy game with some combination of little tracks from time to time but csgo is by far a flick heavy game, people who are good at flicking will dominate other players in most 1v1 fights even if they are taken by suprise i don't really do any tracking in csgo especially with awp since i used to never miss my flicks at all and if i missed it's an easy quick fix which would waste the same amount of time as doing the micro track to begin with. anyone who has mastered flicking should be able to flick to any location on screen within less then 100ms i personaly could do this within 60ms in my prime before my wrist injury but even after the injury i'm stil extremely consistnet at flicking but i do have every single aiming skill within the top 1% in aim trainers currently which might also count for something in relation to my flick consistency now, i have no idea how good my overall aiming was back in the day since i didn't use anything like aimlab or kovaks to track it but i was most definitely far better at csgo in every way my highest solo elo being 3.2k in 2017 and my current primer being 24k but it's only been 4 days since i started playing csgo again so i wouldn't really use my primer elo as a reference. but either way i strongly disagree with you on this.

He flicks his arm on the bot, and tracks with his wrist to the head. So he kinda uses the time of the arm flick, to process where the head precisely is with his wrist. Pro's just get so good at it, that you dont realize it. Thats all he was trying to say.

15:47 i think what the guy means, is that since cs2 released the awp feels a bit sluggish compared to csgo, i mean it feels like theres a bit delay when your velocity goes zero and awp will actually be accurate. Atleast i feel like my shots are hitting better when i scope in a bit earlier than before, i kinda let the scoping in to do half of the work of counterstrafing. Its obviously few milliseconds and if you do it too early it will be a very bad peek. So i actually scope in when im still slightly behind the wall if im coming in full velocity

I mean that's the whole problem, right? Sure, slow is smooth, and smooth is fast---if you're not dead before you ever get the shot off. Flick shots are for entries and engagements where you know the enemy is going to shoot back as quickly as they can. By all means, go for consistency if you know you have enough time, but in many situations it's not realistic to wait. Fractions of a second matter, and that's why flick shots are a thing in the first place.

im not saying ur wrong but what do u mean by micro tracking. normally on long distance flicks people do one major *initial* flick followed up by *one small* micro adjustment or also called micro flick, the distance is so short that u can instinctively hit the second smaller flick without another target confirmation. if average gamer has 200ms reaction time, ur micro tracking concept (as i understood it) would add another 200ms after initial flick to keep tracking the target, which is fine for long range flicks to do (same as concept above) but player in vod was missing small flicks (e.g. enemy peeks past his crosshair, player in vod fails to micro flick back to target) in this instance no good player flicks and then does another correction because a) their small flicks are accurate enough and b) they would be dead after their 400ms+ flick ur a better player than me so i probably misunderstood what u meant
@pienixcs
@pienixcs 4 месяца назад
Exactly, what you called microflick i called microtracking - coz its kinda tracking since you microflick moving target
@svenjaaunes2507
@svenjaaunes2507 4 месяца назад
you make a good point. tracking, single-flicking and double-flicking (flick+adjustment) are all different techniques. which one you should apply depends on a few factors like distance, how good is the initial crosshair placement, whether the enemy would expect you to awp there and whether you expected the enemy or not. single-flicking is a necessity when you are desperate (e.g poor initial guess, caught off-guard, enemy too close or peeked you wide) and need to be very very quick. tracking is ideal for getting a kill when you have both good initial contact and have some time to guarantee the kill. double flicking is good if you werent initially fast or precise with aiming but have some time to adjust to secure a kill (e.g long distance). double flicking is basically tracking with poor start (not always your fault, e.g unexpected wide peek). any one of these can apply even in the same spot (e.g mirage window) depending on the circumstance you find yourself in.
@kalreynolds5829
@kalreynolds5829 4 месяца назад
@@svenjaaunes2507 In the case here, where the student is missing all of his flicks due to a lack of microadjustment, he's obviously right. Like, we can argue all day about the fundamentals of the game and peeking and flicking, but the dude is missing. He needs to adjust his movement after the flick. Additionally, overrelying on flicks, especially bad flicks like these, is a limiting factor on your playing. Eventually you'll reach players who's movement is good enough that you'll miss and they'll punish you. That's the point where having those fundamentals, and the "double flick" will get you over the line. Plus, they are transferable skills to other weapons.
@svenjaaunes2507

@@kalreynolds5829 i agree thst flicking is a technique for desperate situations and shouldnt be utilized all the time like this student does. thats his error
@rightneow7
@rightneow7 4 месяца назад
@@pienixcs Thats true but still: In the intro sequence he only had to do one micro flick (his target is very close to his crosshair already), but you tell him to do flick and then another micro flick to confirm hes on target. But on those very small flicks it's counterproductive to add another target confirmation (~+200ms). You just do micro flick and you click during that small flick (just pure click timing - and it should be easy, because very small distance) What im saying is, this is not a technique error in my opinion. This is just one instance of simply (micro) aim being bad in the vod. If I watch Zywoo hold an angle with a deagle and the enemy wide swings him (past Zywoo's crosshair), Zywoo will just do one small flick to the head with no further adjustments needed. 'Beginner' myself here so just sharing *my* understanding. Please correct me if im wrong.
