First time off the mountain on anything other than an Alpha 210 training glider. This was a rental Falcon 3 195. Off the ramp, it was wobbly, and I can't tell if it was from me overcontrolling, winds (which were starting to pick up--this was my only flight that day before the winds got too rough for newbs), or a mix of both. After making a conscious effort to not overcontrol--and getting further away from the ridge--the flight smoothed out. I cut the box pattern when entering because I was worried about overcontrolling, so it's a sloppy entry. I knew I was going to overshoot the landing target when I exited on base--too high--but I'm getting confident about lining up on the target.
