We need a bigger EFXTRA with retracts that flies on 6s 5000-6200 to compete with the V1200

Definitely my FAV PARK FLYER so much fun

I tried to set mine up as the ultimate slope soarer. Put 1 by 3 mm carbon spars in the leading edge for rough landings and fitted a folding propeller because the wind gets pretty dirty where I live and it’s always nice to get out of trouble. Unfortunately I was new to the Hobby and was using a plastic spinner… as soon as I got to 1/2 throttle on the bench the folding prop exploded and ripped the engine mounts apart. I am going to epoxy it back together and see what I can do with a sweet aluminum spinner/carbon prop

I recently set up and maidened my EFXtra. Its such a wonderfully rigid design for high speed racing fun. Its not the fastest plane youll ever see, but its affordable so everyone at your club can own one and have real racing parity in competitions.

Would like to buy one, waited for restock for a long time, but now with EU warehouse gone and shipping costs from Global warehouse 98Eur + EMS/UPS/DHL... fee for customs documents handling , this is ridiculous. You are deemed in EU. You will lose the final few that were still supporting you in EU.

These are great planes! I originally got the EFX Racer and loved it. Got the EFXtra when it came out and loved the extra responsiveness from the clipped wing but missed the glide ratio of the Racer. I do fly the EFXtra at the slope with the EFX Racer wing and “clean” nose. When I only use an Rx pack instead of a flight pack it soars in remarkably low wind conditions! I do mean to try the FPV kit but I’m a bit reluctant because the first time I flew a quad with FPV goggles I fell over. I need to sit down to do it!!!

It's a really great plane. I have the Racer (long wing) and that still rolls pretty fast at higher speeds with 100% aileron throw (I use 30% expo and no rates). I also use spoileron mixing (raised ailerons) for landing ... this gives a steeper and slower approach, which is useful if you don't have a vast landing area like Stuart's! I have some short videos showing this on my channel. Speaking of landing, the only minor flaw I can think of with this model is that the chin intake scoops up dirt/grass/etc. every time. I fly mine on 3S 2200 (50C) and get 110-115 mph (gps speed) after a diving pass ... for me (ex IC pylon racer) that's quick enough for a sport model, and with a mix of fast/slow flying I get 6+ mins of flight time. I have a 'launch mode' on the Tx that temporarily holds a little up and right trim - this makes solo launching super easy in calm conditions. Sadly as already commented shipping from the global warehouse is a killer on Hobbyking models now, certainly to the UK.

Awesome plane...very well designed...glides very slow without tip stall and is plenty fast even on 3s imo...great thing is you can run a 2200 3s and get same flight times as 1800 4s...2200 3s can still get 80 plus mph. I have many planes so i will have to sell a few before i can justify buying one of these,seems loke the perfect second or 3rd non gyro plane for anyone that likes speed and acrobatics imo... great review.😊

all good but why are parts out of stock like the elevator or aluminium nose cone and more been waiting two years for the elevator to be in stock
