In today's video we take you onto Flight of the Sky Lion, the new headline attraction at Legoland Windsor resort, located in the brand new Lego Mythica area. This video contains a full on ride POV so there will be spoilers for the ride itself. This is the first of it's kind in the UK being a flying theatre in a vein to Soaring Around The World at Walt Disney World Epcot and Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

You start by loading into your ride vehicle which is similar to a cinema seat, strap in and you're spun around to face a huge IMAX screen! This is where the fun begins, the show takes place themed to Lego Mythica with your host being the Sky Lion himself, Maximus as he comes face-to-face with some of Lego Mythica's scariest creatures! You're whisked through various scenes with many special effects, inluding mist, air and heat to enhance your ride experience.
One word of warning, if you suffer from motion sickness, this is likely to trigger that massively!

My husband is getting all worked up coz me & my kids wont stop talking about this ride!!its so magical that been on it twice in one day & thrice another day..still wanna keep getting on it.The whole phantasia hit us emotionally,cant stop thinking about this!The best addition in Legoland ever!For the ones who havent been on it,run straight to this as soon as u enter the park.

Got on this ride quickly as my little bro is autistic and finds busy queues really stressful. I thought the ride might be too much for him but he absolutely loved it! He can’t stop talking about it! It’s so amazing. Thank you Legoland 👍🏻

Attended this today. 70 min wait but this is hands down the best ride at Legoland Windsor. Fantastic visuals which come alive as your seating moves in sync. That plus the 4D experience, brilliant. The animation lasts around 4.5 minutes which neither seems short or long.

Went on this yesterday and must say what a ride it was unbelievable, you could smell grass when you went across the meadow, fire when going in the volcano. Beats any ride at Windsor 10/10

Went on this not long after it opened last year. Wow! I'm not usually one for motion sim type rides but this was amazing. You actually feel like you're flying!

Been waiting to get on this since released & got chance on it twice today!!believe me I havent experienced anything more magical than this in 38yrs of my life..Legoland on must visit list coz of this one ride!takes u into magical world which one only dreamt of their whole lives watching fantasy movies!!!

I went on this ride 4-5 days ago cause I went on it Friday morning and went on it Saturday morning also I do not recommend going on a Saturday it’s too busy so next time I’ll be going on a Thursday and Friday 😂😂 Since my brother is autistic we used a pass to speed up the wait

We went on this ride on Saturday. We queued up for 1hr only to be then told there was a delay due to an issue with the ride. Lots of people left the queue but we stayed for another 45 minutes! The ride seemed to be quite quick, perhaps 5 mins. The first thing my son said when we got out was “dad that was so worth the wait”. I agreed, it was an incredible ride and experience. We have all been talking about it since. Highly recommended!

Me and the family went on this today. Sadly I had to close my eyes 4 - 5 seconds after it began and keep my eyes shut for the duration of the film as I immediately suffered severe motion sickness. Looked incredible though. Genuinely felt as if I was floating in the air before the simulation began. The rest of the family said it was incredible and amazing.

That’s unfortunate, I hope you enjoyed the video to experience the show itself and I’m glad the rest of your family enjoyed it! It can very easily induce motion sickness, my girlfriend has taken motion sickness tablets which got her through the ride, that’s always an option (though I’m obviously not a doctor so…)

I went on that ride 2 times on the same day yesterday. It was so so fun. It was honestly one of the best legoland rides I've been on. And I only got to wait 10 minutes in the queue

!SPOILERS!SPOILERS! I remember after a 30min wait, we finally got on. We sat down, me and my dad thought there was gonna be a screen that comes down infront, but no. It was amazing. You could smell nature and feel the water as you slightly touched it while soaring through this phenomenal scenery. You sit down and there could be people above or under you. It turns around to this MASSIVE, and let me tell you MASSIVE dome. Words can't explain how magical it feels. My whole family that came to Legoland agrees that this IS the best ride. We were hoping to go on it again before we leave, but the wait was too long. But, if it's your first time WAIT THE TIME. It's truly worth it, and you need to go on it atleast one time.

I am extremely fascinated with this ride and it’s reactions! From what I have seen and heard, the vehicle doesn’t move too much. Is the illusion that convincing? That immersive? I’d love to hear your responses! Thanks for the great quality vid!

You’re right, the vehicle doesn’t move too much but I think it moves at just the right times to make the effect feel ‘real’. The actual video quality isn’t as high definition there as I’d like but overall it’s a welcome addition to the park! Thanks for watching!

The vehicle may not move as much, but it is still very immersive and extremely convincing that you are there. The moment you are thrown over the cliff is just as thrilling as any proper roller coaster ride. We waited prime time (90min) but it was so worth and recommend anyone going to Legoland to make this ride priority. The mechanics in the ride will make it feel you are flying through it all. Such a rush!!!

@@phillipbrown9661 Thank you so much for your response! Your description has me very excited for this attraction! Simulator rides have always fascinated me because they can be hit or miss. There is something to say for a simulator that genuinely makes you feel as if you are there! Sometimes the simple ride systems can be the most effective! I can’t wait to give it a try one day!

This is honestly an amazing ride and my families Favourite, never seen anything like it before and can't describe it but definitely worth it even after the 80minute wait we had at the end of the day as we were desperate to go on a second time before leaving the park x

Great ride, my partner loved it, it sadly made me feel queasy, stupid brain not being able to handle it, glad for this video as I had to shut my eyes after a out a minute so I missed most of it

Went on this yesterday ( 19/06/21) advertised 90 min wait but in and out in 60 mins, absolutely fantastic, the effects and the smells used were out of this world :-)

This ride is amazing !! I qued for 60 mins with my 7 year old Niece who nervously said she didnt want to go on it, I persuaded her in the end and she came out with a big smile on her face, she was so glad I didnt take her out. Well worth rhe time queing and am defo going again just to another go.

Not a silly question at all ☺️ it’s a motion simulation so you’re on a row of seats that swings a little bit but doesn’t really move much, no sudden drops or anything

Went there with my 3,5 years old twins a week ago and regretted this decision the moment it started. My girls were screaming and crying, they were terrified and I couldn’t help them, I made my heart broke. It should be restricted my age and not height. Completely destroyed our day.

Great ride but they need to do more versions. Same version every time is lame for 2024 standards. There's so many variations on the star wars rides in Disney and it makes me want to go back on etc.
