I'm so glad that finally, someone has shown us a small part of PNG. I have been asking several other RU-vidrs for this, but to be honest, asking someone to show you a certain place in MSFS, is a bit like trying to win the lottery. But PNG just looks so good, and all those amazing mountain airstrips. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time flying here when this releases.

"Minimum distance to the ground without hit, whilst flying upside down (metres)". Aaahh... Now that sounds fun. Sounds like I need to try to beat my record in the old 1989 game, Fighter Bomber (aka Strike Aces in the US), which involved me flying in a Panavia Tornado inverted at 7ft above the ground. Of course, that game didn't have real physics, and the terrain was completely flat, but challenge accepted...

i'm beyond hyped. all my life i wanted to be a pilot but i'm colorblind and also just found out i have genetic vascular problems. i've played flight sims forever. this is an incredible leap forward from anything before except maybe the blade element theory flight model of x-plane. it looks so fucking good, i can't wait.

YES! I want to paint my airliner and put my airline name on it. (continuing). FSPassengers is my biggest worry. The author has not been heard from in a few years, and that was due to medical at last contact. I wonder how to let Microsoft know, and maybe buy it from him... VERY MANY people use it. But yes... the VFR flying is fun, but my fun is flying the planet in airlines, making it on time, building my airline, making the passengers happy, and increasing my skill. I will still enjoy the sim without it, just not near as much. I will pursue this for a while to see what I can do. Take care sir.

I like you chose Papua New Guinea. I went there (from Australia where I live) a long, long, long time ago when I was 17 years old. I had very long hair back then and was stared at all the time! (Probably the locals trying to work out if I was male or female, lol). Boy, what a wild place. With not many roads around the country, what I did travel over were incredibly rough. I flew from Port Moresby to Lae, and that was a jumpy flight with all those mountains and trees below! Cannot remember the plane, except was maybe a 20 seater. Also went further deep into the country into the Chimbu district. At that time there was about 20,000 indigenous people and 20 white people living in that area. Most of the non indigenous people were Australian Patrol Officers (Police in other words). It was like going back in time - the locals wearing almost nothing and living off the land. Very fond memories of that country. May get to visit again if I buy this sim.

I flew in Papua back in 2011-2012, the trees look a bit off. The tree coverage is so immense that its difficult to make out the individual trees. The reason for the multitude of airstrips is a Porter or Caravan can fly in 10 to 20 minutes what takes a day or two to walk. Its basically rainforest covered mountains and not much else. First Europeans arrived on the coast in the 1850s I think, and no one thought anything happened up in the mountains. Whoopsie

Dale Hoover ... It’s in the GForce experience software. Enable instant replay and record gameplay. I push Alt-Z to get to it when in a game.

Why must Europeans pay 10 percent more than Americans for a copy of this simulator? Americans pay $119.99 for the Premium Deluxe Bundle, yet Europeans must pay the same amount in Euros? That should have been €101.32 This Microsoft Flight Simulator has been developed in Europe!

Grumpy Modeler I doubt. X plane and Microsoft flight simulator have coexisted for 25 years. Microsoft have always had the edge in graphics and “reach”, as they reach a wider audience, and X-Plane has always had the edge in aircraft systems and flight model, as well as many of the mods in x plane are free. I think there will always be a place for x plane, but msfs will definitely be getting all the attention for the time being 😊

@@kalynstalinski8375 you are absolutely right. Im not going to throw xplane away. I was always much more interested in fully simulated aircraft. Wear and tear, maintenance, proper simulated engine physics etc. Graphics and looks are mostly secondary to me.

Currently downloading FS2020 GripperSim! I am excited like a kid at Christmas... I wanted to ask you. I have bought the standard version for now as I want to play with it to see if I want to upgrade. The only thing I will be missing is the Cirrus SR22 as I am a Cirrus pilot IRL. Have you tested it? How realistic is it? It can't be as good as the TorqueSim or HoldmyBeer versions... Or is it?

Your tail number should be G-RIPP to be realistic 😀. Looks as if it allowed 6 characters. I have the Warthog throttle, stick and TPR rudder (plus HP Reverb G2 pre-ordered). Is there a common mapping between planes for major controls unlike DCS which is a PITA as every plane is different? See you in the air on Tuesday (InfiniteLogic is my XBox GT so that's probably what it will show).

Having volunteered in PNG I can tell you that if you need to get somewhere in PNG as the road network is tiny and what is there is terrible, you travel by ✈ or 🚣!

I personally don't mind the Game elements, even as a hardcore simmer. It adds more replayablity to the sim. That's why I like DCS because of all of the different things you can do/play/edit. I just hope the Autopilot gets sorted before the 18th.

Curious with some of these prop planes, where are the fuel gauges? I don't see one on the dash of this plane. Is there a popup somewhere in the sim that will show how much fuel is left if the plane doesn't have a fuel gauge?

@MrMuzik4all the Super Cub has a pretty simple fuel gauge, it's basically a transparent cylinder as an extension of the fuel tank and a floater that shows the fuel level. Let me see if it shows up during the video, then I'll link the timestamp for you.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to show up on this video, but here's a link to a real life picture www.supercub.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=8995&d=1350497032 Keep in mind I'm no Super Cub specialist, so take my words with a grain of salt. By what I saw in the pictures, you can find the fuel gauge by the left side, in the same location, but the most common configuration seems to be on the right overhead panel, right on the right wing root
