The number of student pilots using flight simulators as a training aid is growing and the realism for personal flight simulator products have improved vastly over the last few years. Remember, if flight simulators are being used as a training aid, be carful, as they do not replicate the reality of flight totally. If you are a student pilot be sure to consult your instructor on the pitfalls and benefits of using your home flight simulator as a training aid. 'Rogue Heroes' Gripper. Great show. Love Paddy - what a Legend. I can't wait for the second Season. It's likely to show you the event that should have ended with Paddy receiving the VC (Victoria Cross). There's a lot of great Doco's on Paddy. The last good one I watched recently featured Eddie Irvine (The ex-F1 Driver). He grew up in the same part of Ireland as Paddy. I've heard that the game was 'not up to scratch' so to speak. What a pity. Gripper was so excited. He put loads of effort in putting this together. Hopefully the game will turn out ok one day. Anyway - on a funny note - from 6 minutes 20 seconds on / "I'm going to be very good!"... boy did I laugh! Well done.😅

I had this problem yesterday - I found it related to Gaming Services. In SERVICES I had two instances of gaming services - Opened XBOX app (which was logged out) - Stopped one of the gaming services and it crashed the XBOX app. Restarted the XBOX app and it started the gaming services and logged in automatically. Once Xbox app was logged in it could check the licence key of MSFS and it started. Hope this is a fix for you and many
Hey, so this issue jsut happened to me right now. I tried uninstalling the xbox app on my pc and re installing it but it did not work. Then I went on the microsoft store app and logged off, and opened the task manager to close the xbox app and gaming services. Gaming services kept reopening by itself so I kept closing it about 3 times in a row. I reopened the xbox game app and finally I was already logged in. Then I logged in to the microsoft store app and launched msfs2020 and it worked. Let me know if it also works for you.
That was a good one Gripper. Interesting little test, mixed with good 'In Car' and external shots (you've always been good with camera work/editing), plus the commentary was a nice touch. I don’t want to jinx it but I’ve had no issues whatsoever with my sim. Every update has worked fine for me, no crashes or anything. I’m on the MS store version.
I have the same problem with the MSFS crashing on my Xbox X , I reset the game , left off 70 add- ons about half of what I own. I clean the cache after every game play. I am very careful about adding updates and add-on since I think they cause the crashes. I wish Microsoft would fix. All of this. Maybe the fix is to buy more storage . Any ideas ?
Since the last Caribbean update my performance just went down and I hardly use it. I uninstall it and install it again, then in a few days the performance issue return again. Been using xplane 11 and considering getting rid of msfs to buy xplane 12. Microsoft and Asobo better put their act together or many people will abandon their simulador.
Try temperately disconnecting the internet and then launch the sim. I've had network problems in the past and doing that allowed me to get into the sim every time. I just reconnected the internet after it loaded into the main menu. I suspect it's not a problem on your end. I doubt it will try to force you to login if you aren't online. FYI I am running the steam version so maybe there is a difference.
It really is a disgrace that nearly 4 years after launch people are still having major problems with this title. The fact that MS are planning a new release that they expect people to pay for without fixing the current version adds insult to injury.
No News yet speedbrakes, I'll be working on it, apparently I'm not the only one having issues with flight simulator. hopefully they will fix it this week! : )

Yep, I had the same problem. It requires logging out of the XBox account and the Microsof shop account, and logging into Windows with the same name as the shop and the X-Box account again..🛬
HI. I had this issue a couple of days a go. I tried resetting and the reinstalling the Xbox app and it did not work. I gave up. I then started MSFS 2020 the next day and it worked so I thought MSFT fixed something on their end. I then started up the sim again yesterday after watching this video and it did not work again. Same error. 😠 I started it today and it works. Not sure what is going on. BTW, love your videos!
Msfs 2020 has been out of action for about five weeks. Tried all sorts of advice with the help of a friend and I’m still stuck on the opening splash screen. Basically I like flying planes and I’m not an IT specialist. This is so infuriating!
1- make sure you are logged in to Microsoft account, 2- make sure you are logged into Microsoft store, 3- make sure you are logged into xbox account ALL must be the same account, 4- make sure you video drivers are up to date, 5 - in Graphics Setting your "default graphic" is set to all ON 6 - game bar is ON, game mod is ON, 7 - Windows updates are up to date. 8- make sure you Hard Drives are good, this can cause issues. 9 - if reinstalling MSFS 2020 Makes SURE Your previous Install IS COMPLETELY DELETED from your HD. 10 - if you done all this and still can't get MSFS 2020 to install/work , You have TO REINSTALL WINDOWS. You have no other choice. Like I did.
