There is also ground briefing costs. Every time before you fly and after your flight, you have to brief about how flight will go and how it was, what you can expect during the flight, what you have to learn, what you will do and how you did etc. It is usually takes 30-60min and costs about 75cad an hour. Unfortunately, school doesn’t mention that costs on their fee infos. Also, these flight hours just requirements which you have to collect at least. In reality, you will do 30-40% more hours than that due to weather, your ability, and busy airports. Finally, we should consider our costs be at least 30-40% more than the costs school provided.
Yes. What you have said is all correct. That's why in the video I have come with average figures based on a cheap flight school. These figures can go upto 100k or more if you decide to do in an expensive school
You are the only one who is guiding properly about it ,will you tell me your flight school name where it was and how far was your school from your home so I can estimate daily cost also
Hey Anish, This Video Is Loaded With Valuable Info. But I Would Like To Give You Some Suggestions, Considering That Most Of The People Watching This Video Are From India, I Think you Should Make It Clear That Working In The Airlines (What We Called Part 121 In The States) Requires You To Have A Permanent Residency Of Canada. And They're Having A Perception That Working In Canada As A Pilot Will Help Them Make Loads Of Money Please Clear That Part As Well, I Think You Know Pay In Canada Is Way Lower Than The World Market Standards. Also The Upgrade Time To Captain Of Jet Liner In The Airlines Is Slow Too Cause Of Slow Growth It'll Be Nicer If You Clear All These Points Too.... Happy Landings.....
Thanks mohit for suggestions. I was planning on making another video in detailed just about airline career once I get my job back. The two videos I did were meant to be just an introduction.
Sir plz make a video on how to apply for job in Canada post cpl as no one has made video on this topic and its a doubt which needs to be clear plzz its a request make a video💕
Thank you so much for making this video, i would like to ask you, how difficult is it to get a flight instructor job in canada after finishing cpl there during this pandemic
To give you perspective....in 2008 when I got my PPL, covering ALL expenses with loan paid off quickly and 80 hours I paid $17000.....back when 172's cost $135/hr. Why 80 hours? because of weather cancellations and lot's of extra, bonus content.
Thanks a lot man Could u please make a video about pilot jobs in Canada just after CPL other than flight instruction please ? I've checked in many sources but all of those did not give me a proper idea and not sure about the genuinity about the same .
Thank you for your information, do you think the need for pilots will not decrease in the future because Airbus is supposed to increase the number of pilots in the cockpit to one pilot by 2025, and also Airbus and Boeing finally intend to build pilotless pessenger plane by 2050. What is this about?
Yes that is the future. Many helicopter jobs have been taken over by drones so I see this job will cease to exist in the future but will take a while untill that happens I believe
@@akshayaddy Confederation College. There is also Sault College but it is a year longer. There’s no multi engine at confederation but most people do that in one week at an affiliated school
What is the total cost if someone wants to fly commecial planes in canada. Only cpl is enough or Type rating also needed or anything and if that person is from India overall cost.
Hi please let me know what pilot jobs are available where and how to get them in Canada. As I see everyone is looking for highly experienced pilots. How did you manage. Some insight please. Thanks a lot
Thank you for the information, brother, now I know what to do next and where to start. However, Air Canada requires a three or four year diploma/degree programme from a college or university, as well as an Aviation College degree or diploma, so can I just go to flight school and get all the licenses and get my CPL, and are there any other companies where I can work as a first officer with just flight school and no degree or diploma?
Air Canada prefers people with a degree. I would recommend get your training done asap and get into the industry. You can always do a degree on the side.
Hey.. Thanks for the video.. Can you make a video on the eligibility criteria for applying to a flight school in canada. I am doing my 1 yr programme in canada right now and i am 31 yrs old. Am I eligible for doing a flight training here???
Cheap living cost would be Manitoba, also easy on immigration. Warmer weather BC is the best option. Ontario is another option with a lot of schools. Also there are schools in the Atlantic provinces.
Is it hard to get a pilot job after getting your CPL in Canada? If so, is it better to get a flight instructor rating.. are flight instructors in demand right now?
Presently not many opportunities out there as the industry is just recovering. Recovery rate is dubious amid delta variant rise. But if everything goes well, then next couple of years will see a great demand for pilots, is what I believe. #beingpositive
There are regionals that fly small planes like Q400, crj, dash. They require anywhere between 500 to 1000 hours minimum depending on companies. Mainline requires 1500 hours but obviously they hire people with more hours than that. As of now there is absolutely no opportunities are all the layed of pilots needs to recalled. I believe opportunities will open up by next year
If you do 200 hours in your training then how would you get those extra 1300 hours? To work in airlines? And in Total how much does it cost including food and accomodation?
Bro which flight school you went? In Canada its not compulsory to take science, commerce students can also Join right?? We get loan from flight school??? Can you say more about EXAM???? Is syllabus is easy/hard to study????? After 12?????? Nice informative PLS REPLAY BRO
Helicopter licenses tend to be way more expensive and also way less jobs in the markets. Drones these days are taking over many jobs that used to be done with a chopper
Generally you should. But I know people who haven't got work permit as well. 2 year course gives you 3 year work visa. Anything less, you get equivalent time on your work permit
@@flyingtrucker438 I have one more question. Maybe you can tell me the answer. Is it possible to come to Canada with the half amount of money, which is needed to finish flying school? I mean, if I have enough money for PPL and CPL(but not enough to finish flying school) is there opportunity that I can work in Canada and earn enough money to complete my training process. Thanks upfront.
Whatever fees structure you are submitting in with your application, you ll have to show that you have the entire money including the living expense. If you have a letter from the bank stating that a loan amount equivalent to the fees has been approved, also works.
