Join James as he takes a flight on the world’s first foam electric PNP B-24 Liberator, from FlightLine RC. The famed B-24 Liberator is one of the most recognizable WWII aircraft of all time. Serving in every theater of that global conflict, the B-24 fought to bring its brave crews home through unimaginable danger. With humility and reverence, Motion RC was and is proud to introduce this stunning representation in remembrance of the crews who gave the ultimate sacrifice and those who carry on its memory. I'm a fan of the different models motionrc carries. The bomber is definitely nice and different, wheels look good enough for grass ops! Just needs a sound board onboard with the quad engine sound!

This might be interesting, but I fly my b-24 on 2 3s 5000amp batteries from Venom and it’s flies for a good 20 - 30 minutes in half throttle and it is amazing. Flightlines longest flying bomber

Any video of a flight of the length? That's amazing and I have no doubt it can do it. Would love to see it though

Try it for yourself. I usually fly about one notch above half throttle and it works great

Hit the button on this baby last night!. One of my mentors was a ball turret gunner in the Pacific and I want to fly this bird in his memory. Makin a shout out Callie Graphics for the great selection of custom grafics she has for this aircraft!. If she doesn't have the right grafics then she can make it for you !.

While I do love the B24 and would want one, I would love to see this flight model’s slow-flight capabilities. How well does it handle at MCA? How about a video made of just scale, slow flight?

So I wondered from all of you a Flightline B-24 Pilots if you could help me out. I’ve bought and built one of these to fly for a tribute to a patient of mine’s father. Did all my research “Lady From Hell” have the nose art markings etc to match his. Took it out last weekend to Maiden it, prior to doing all the weathering. Flew amazing. Landings with no flaps and half flaps effortlessly. I have the Spectrum AR8360T receiver for working turrets. I was able to get AS3X and safe all dialed in easily. I was struggling with the plane ballooning with flaps but kept landing and adjusting until I felt they were just right. I had set it up like the manual suggested. Came in for a landing with full flaps. She came in nice but bounced, hadn’t bounced one yet so I wanted another shot, powered up……..nose pitched up drastically then dropped, hit hard on nose wheel, sheared the fuse off just in front of the wings all props sheared off but fortunately wings tail etc ok just have to replace the fuse. I’ve flown for years including large scale WWII warbirds and EDFs. I’ve never experienced this before. What Happened????? How do I prevent it again?? No issues landing without flaps but I would really like to bring it in for the family with a scale approach and flaps. I expected it to be much more forgiving as I have watched Steve and others fly her. Ideas?? Lance

This just happened me too yesterday maidening mine. I put full flaps, it bounced, I powered up, then it hit the ground hard out of nowhere, I reacted quickly so it came down flat and just bent the nose landing gear, but believe it's because of the amount of airflow passing under the wings due to the 4 engines the full flaps pull it down

excellent introduction to flight ops for this model, appreciated James - as always, warbird models tend to fly far too fast in relation to the actual aircraft, full flaps operation gave it a more realistic flight impression, maybe something to consider for the engineering by Freewing et altri for future warbird model to try to slow them down to make them look more real (e.g. through altering wing profiles etc.) JP-4203

Thanks man, as mentioned in the video, she can also fly on a 3s LiPo and that will tame her down nicely without changing anything else. either 2 3s' LiPos, or buy/make a y lead to attach to both esc's and use 1 5000 3s pack.

@@MotionRC The throttle channel is proportional, you do not have to fly full throttle the whole time so you can fly it just as realistically on 4S as 3S and you will also greatly extend the flight time.
@MotionRC
@MotionRC 3 года назад
@@RudixSA Either way works, but going to 3S then you need not worry about ever going too fast. People can get 20 minutes with a 5000mAh LiPo flying this model in a scale manner

Hi sorry to disturb again. One last qns: which plane out of these 3( f7f tigercat,p38 or this b24) flies easier and friendlier to a beginner to intemediate level pilot? Thanks!

I have both liberators and have a question. They both drift a little while taxiing I have adjused the front gear wheel but still drifts a little. Is this the nature of these planes even tho now only slight drifts correctable with rudder stick but I am a perfectionist and don't like drifting to right or left. Guess I will have to surrender to a little drift ?? P.S. yes the props are correct...
@adventuresofcowboydeluxe789
Does this model have a gyro in it? I just bought one. I will be flying it with my NX8. Would love to have a safe mode on it so I don’t crash it lol

I wish people demonstrating scale planes would fly then in a scale fashion, far more impressive...... Throttle is a proportional channel and all that elevator pumping!
@MotionRC
@MotionRC 3 года назад
When you have 1 battery to keep the video at a decent length you have to show all aspects of what the model is capable of. After a couple, slow oval circuits might as well show that this model can do and handle more then it would ever need to. A beginner can handle this aircraft and might be heavy on the throttle, this shows the aircraft can take it
