thanks Stephen! I didn't know about the hickory nuts, good that you told me too. I am surrounded by them! question, what tree does the horse hoof normally grow on?

You are most welcome sir, Horse Hoof likes to grow on dead standing timber, I usually find it on the side of dead hardwood trees, I have harvested on VERY few occasions on downed trees but very rarely. Thank You sir and Happy hunting.
