You can sure tell you really love what you do. You also make a great teacher. That blade turned out beautiful. I really didn't know Coral could be so hard. Thanks so much for the video and having patience to go through and explain everything

Had my 14th birthday yesterday, got tons of Georgetown and obsidian and some jaspers, as well as some new tools. Can't wait to test it all out and make some cool stuff! Always love seeing these videos, keep up the fantastic work Mr. Gill!

Ok I a little some help here .. tomorrow I'm gonna order some stone to nap. I'm planning to mainly knap 3 to 6 inch blade . So what kit, stone type do u recommend for size and durability... I learned to knap on 1/2 in thick flat screen tv screen glass for the last 2 or 3 years so I'm aware of cut hazard for absidian.. after seeing the price of bows I'll be sticking to blades and not doing points. So, any advice would be appreciated.. budget it around 50 or 60 dollars

Would a primitive knapper be concerned with preserving color? Or is he more concerned with utilitarian rather than aesthetic outcome? In your studies, have you encountered knapping that shows that primitive man COULD HAVE been concerned with the color or pattern of the stone point or blade?

Instructions unclear, ended up attempting kidknapping. Currently trying to knap my way out of prison. Need a powerknap.

Great knapping thanks for video 😄 when you have step fracture you can’t get rid of try to use spactula, firmly get it “in” the step and tap it with something, sometime i get rid of stap fracture or it lower the mass, so the next flake can travel smoother.

I just realized I found the lower half of a Dalton point yesterday while fossil hunting in Gainesville and tossed it aside 😳

Anyone else see half of a tigers head or maybe a wolf’s face in the rock coloration at 5:40? Look on the right side edge in the blue and white I would have had to isolate that side of the rock and put it on a shelf lol

Beautiful piece as always, my guy! I’m curious, could you do a video on how to identify where a step fracture might occur?
