The Floating House sits at the perfect location for a home on the water - a spot on the Willamette river with a 270º view of Portland. Our yakisugi “shou sugi ban” cladding was chosen for its durability against the elements and insects, but also for the blue and pink colors present in the Light Gray oil finish applied to our Pika-Pika® product. Phil Sydnor of Integrate Architecture, Project Designer Ana Gonzalez, Planning in Portland, and the homeowner all worked closely together to create this one-of-a-kind forever floating home.
