This is a step by step instructional video on how to install your floating shelf. These shelves come in different shapes and sizes, but these instructions should work for any type of floating shelf that uses brackets mounted to a wall for support.
One of the most important things to remember is to make sure you have mounting screws solidly placed in at least one stud and that you do not over load the shelf. This particular model of the inPlace floating shelf is rated for 17lbs.

Here are the tools you'll need to install this floating shelf from Amazon.
* Tape Measure
* Cordless Drill
* Pencil for marking holes
* 3/32nd and 7/32nd drill bits
* Phillips screwdriver or drive bits for your drill
* Step stool if you're mounting the floating shelf high on a wall
* Stud finder (I prefer the ones that find the edges of the studs)
Installation of the inPlace floating shelf should take about 10 to 20 minutes. It's really easy and you can do one or several! It's a very easy DIY project for the whole family! Even if you're not handy!
