This is crazy. What if the call button shorted out downstairs and put you in a completely flooded basement? There have already been a couple cases where people died inside flooded elevator cars. O_o
@@katlegoassegaai4644 when i was little we lived in an old Apartment building in a nutshell the elevator was old always noisy and ratteling also the light was flickering and it was cramped
hi and welcome i am WGBH and i help youtubers gain more views and subs go to my channel and i can help you gain more and all we ask of you is to sub back to us
The safest procedure for the owner to do in a situation like this to minimize damage is take it to the top, and put it into "Independent service", which will cause that car to ignore calls from other floors, and it will stay put.
You'd think so wouldn't you, just like you'd think that a metal lamp post with a puddle surrounding it that happens to have a live wire touching the inside would just short straight to ground (given that the entire lamp post is made of metal and you know, in the ground and all), but alas it doesn't always happen that way. You see the water can still carry a current and a voltage difference across it which CAN electrocute you. Just because the elevator is metal does not mean that you will be safe when it is flooded.
I was in a building one day where a water main break caused it to "rain" in the elevators. When the doors opened, people would look for a second, then just used the elevators like normal.
Actually if you think about it an elevator wont short out that easily from water because most of the machinery is mostly on the roof and for an elevator to short out that badly the water would need to get into the pit because there is actually an emergency stop switch in there so it could've gotten into that and interrupted the wire connections
DON'T RIDE IT! Because too dangerous supposed be go in elevator, that will cause death trap down into the loop! How crazy that elevator still be going works and damaged for them!!!
Who are you talk to? It's not safe for that elevator, is dangerous. If you say stupid to me. You can go in elevator by yourself, is will cause get electric shock by touching anything elevator and going death trap of it. That will going to die. Just suit yourself, mate. Stop it so rude to me ok!!!! I'm gotta tell my dad show them.
+Ákos Petik Akos Petik, Do you be favour please? Just leave my son alone ok. This is elevator is very dangerous, that will cause electrical shock by touching any buttons or while going death trap itself on the main system. DON'T use elevator, use stairs instead. If you saying something don't care, you're denied, that is your responsible!!!
Peter Deutscher I said that riding a normal, non flooded elevator is safe to be ride, then i asked him that is the talked about the flooded or the non flooded one. Whats really hard to understand on this? Idk.... :|
Mister is a flash flood in a hotel do not go in the lobby because the elevator well maybe break and then the tire elevator then the entire elevator well flood
Who ever is on duty as the manager or someone that works there needs to take the elevators out of service, they need to make sure that nobody gets into them at a time like that especially since there's a flood and a lot of water going into the pit. Someone could get shocked or killed. I would put these in fire service to take them out of service so nobody can use them.
Too much rain and the pool was on the fourth floor and the storm drains could not drain it fast enough so it over flowed into the elevator shaft. It was joined by the water from the roof as well.
