I broke my trolling motor, broke my reel, came 200 yards from death, got off the river, went to bass pro, did surgery on my prop, bought a new reel, got back on the river, and caught some fish. I hope you enjoy the video. The day was a real rollercoaster for me.

What pound thrust is your minn kota?

70lbs. Had a 40 that came with the boat but it was no match for the current there

@@GillRaker79I also fish the Susquehanna in that area and have a 40lb thrust that I’m not satisfied with because it can’t keep up with the current. Are you satisfied with the 70lb? That’s what I’m thinking of upgrading to. I would go all the way to 100lb but don’t really have room for 3 batteries to make 36v.

@@kevinjohns4667 so the 70 lb has been great for the current. No complaints except that it’s so powerful at 100% that it can crank itself to the right or left if it catches the current wrong or you accidentally let off the pedal for a second. But it definitely keeps up with the current. Might help that my boat is pretty light. Aluminum semi v 16’
