Conductor tyranno, vs caesar valius is one of those cool boss monster from main deck, and a healthy one for their deck itself... Those 2 deck really deserve the respect
one of the main reasons i watch this even though i don't care much about the meta is so i would know how the decks work mainly to know when the opportunity to counter would appear
Master duel will continue as long as they keep profiting with microtransactions. Getting royal rare cards take a LOT of your craft points, and to get "unlimited" amounts of craft points, you need to drop an "unlimited" amount of money to get gems and buy as many packs as you'd like.
"But a COOL floodgate." Look, guys, Dinomorphia isn't the biggest villain in a format with SHS running around... but sticking a picture of a T-rex on top of your skill drain doesn't make it cool.
A skill drain that requires the user to be 1 shot ranged and on a monster with no protections and non-lingering effects. It absolutely does justify its existence
I still assert the only good generic floodgates are those 3 that double as Board Breakers. Which are now all rightfully limited for doing too much on their own. Even Skill Drain is just mid if you can't turbo out a big beater to go with it.
IMO the most frustrating decks ar labrynth and mannadium mainly due to how consistent they ar.The thing that baffles me is how some of the labrynth cards have not been on a banlist
What do you think about weekly tournaments that promote more rogue decks? This way, we'll be not only seeing more people join with different decks but also it'll be more diverse than the same exact decks every week which kinda gets stale eventually
I wish Purrely wouldn’t have been hit this hard it’s sad I enjoyed the deck. It had to be hit but now it’s just not able to properly compete at all I feel
Yeah at this point I just want them to hit Syncro. People say Syncro is a weak mechanic but the worst endboards completely rely on them more then any other summoning mechanic
I don’t think Rexxterm is a “cool floodgate.” Dinomorphia leads to some of them most annoying duels man. That UCT is an amazing Dinosaur boss monster that is both fair and frustrating in all the right ways. Glad both decks made it through.
Let it be by floodgates or by everything with using multiple negates, the best strategy is not letting win your opponent play the game. This applies to every competitive game.
I agree. I know others say “combo decks allow you a chance” but unless you draw the out, they don’t. It’s literally the same thing as a stun deck. You just gotta memorize some sequences. That’s all.
Absolutely not true at all. First of all Floodgates completely prevent the game from being played at all by anyone. That is not necessarily true of negates and it’s certainly not true of gaming in general
@@FrostReave have you heard of harpies feather duster? Or lightning storm? Or Raigeki? Maybe if you actually learned the game then you would build a good enough deck to break through stun.

@@Kiriemy Other decks play the game. I’d rather play against Mathmech spends 1-2 minutes setting up a board I can interact with then Stun that takes a second to not let anyone play the game. What makes Yugioh fun is interaction.
21:19 masurawo can out rexterm. sadly he didn't play it. it's also my go-to play when i get drolled. my end board consist of sarutobi, masurawo instead of baronne which imo is better play since the deck plays a ton of handtrap that can be drawn out of masurawo. the deck can dishout lv4's easily making drident possible which also outs rexterm. imo teching merry-sargas is redundancy for the deck since genius can search regulus.
SHS, branded and manadium are almost impossible to stop with ash, you can have like 3 negtes on your hand and it's still not enough... Floodgates are keeping the weaker decks afloat
First of all ash absolutely does kill Branded. 2nd of all the answer is to limit them NOT play floodgates which effect every deck and prevent the game being played. How is that good for the game? Do not play whataboutism to defend cards. I play rogue decks don’t see me whining about losing to better decks
@@FrostReave first of all regarding branded, I have been using this deck a lot since the new support dropped, it used to be the case that ash kills branded, but with the new support you can extend your plays for days and even with a bad hand you can just end your turn with a quem on the field and be completely fine with it... And second of all, I also mainly use a rogue mikanko deck in master rank, so I never cry about stronger decks going second, in fact I welcome it, you on the other hand sound like you're crying about floodgates, just draw the out bro, what are you complaining about?

Know what almost no one plays? Spell Destruction because it’s only useful 1/20 games. Just ban floodgates problem solved. Just hit strong decks. Problem solved. Floodgates are a problem not the solution they prevent any deck from playing. That’s stupid. And Ash absolutely effects Branded pretty much every starter they have is ashable, Droll kills Mannadium and SHS along with other hand traps like Ghost Belle and Maxx C. Alpha with those beautiful plays, honestly i was quite shocked that he managed to defeat branded, i am a lab player myself and generally branded against lab is a disadvantageous matchup for lab. Great game by both players
and i’ve won tons of lab mu with bystial runick by literally just dropping unicore. that’s it. gg vs lab. the bystials absolutely do not drop the consistency. basically any runick deck is playing the normal amount at 18 so that’s just normal consistency for runick. furthermore the bystial quem side facilitates tons of draws for runick so i’m failing to see your point here. bystials banishing labs nonsense helps all the more too like
@empresscarrie6230 Bystials do not directly support Runick and vice versa which is why I said the consistency drops. Unicore is powerful, but a gimmick and inconsistent especially with one fountain and limited Runick cards. The deciding factor, like most of Yugioh, is who goes first but I think even then Lab has a more favorable outcome since they have turn 0 plays
Vanquish looses selection pack soon which means they may be hit on ban vs dinomorph which can technicaly already be hit which means they wont be anymore theoriticly
i built dinomorphia and used the scrap UR to finish VS both are great... dinomorphia hugely rewards taking calculated risks and games are won or lost fast VS is more like lab, be smart with resources and build card advantage dinomorphia strong atm because it can make plays under droll, shifter and maxx c
They complain about floodgates because their decks can only handle negates. But if there's too many negates, they will complain about them too. But if they find a way to handle the negates, they will complain about handtraps. Then, if they find a way to handle the handtraps, they will complain about the floodgates again, and... They will continue the vicious circle because that's what the real Timmys = meta players do.
People that is complaining about floodgates aren’t realizing that most nowadays decks have some type of floodgate of their own like scareclaw has one even some of the most popular decks uses a floodgate of some kind and tbh I rather deal with a floodgate then deal with a full negate board
well the scareclaw floodgate lets the opponent play at least, if you got purrely being an xyz only deck getting hit with dbarrier its like shs getting hit with shock master which is banned
Every meta deck is literally a floodgate deck🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ what Konami is doing is forcing players to spend money on the new cards(floodgates). When you can on very first turn have a end board with 5+ negates I call that a floodgate deck….
At least there are more reasonable people in the comment section. The most the floodgates did to the meta decks is force them into simple gamestate or they have to use a different route to get around them. The fact is, floodgate didn't win the tournament. It wasn't even that boring to watch either, unlike runic stun.
Decks are not designed to play through floodgates. If by “simplified game state” you mean can’t do anything at all then you would be correct. If you want to play a simple game state go to older formats not force everyone to your level.
In all of his videos, branded players always open up with b. fusion. i think konami is somehow manipulating the chance of drawing it, becuase it looks like it is greatly higher than the expected 8% (in a 60 card deck). just like Grass, always in hand. grass + b. fusion in hand is 0.56% instead

how much longer will we be seeing branded? tbh this deck makes top cut literally every single week. im glad to not see the puppet lock but the deck is becoming tiresome to see and it rarely loses. the deck needs hit in some way.
