@@creatoraltair And Lab can easily be handled by banning the damn floodgate anyway, no more toxic. Unlike DLink which is just a pile of oversupported Type and Attribute, and can only get stronger as the game goes on. Tbh, any pile deck should get hit. Dragon pile, Cyberse pile, Chaos pile, Plant pile or even Branded pile (lol), all will turn toxic one way or another.

54:30 I disagree, new player should play Phantasm Spiral with floodgate. It is a lot cheaper, save those UR CP for the deck that truly want to play. Stun deck is expensive and both decks brick often.
VS is basically like a less consistent Labrynth with none of the weaknesses. Card advantage for days, grind game insane, playing on opponent's turn, non-target destruction, and can even supplement itself by playing other engines like Bystial or Kash or Zoo, while not being weak against Bystial and Kash unlike Lab. IDK how you'd hit VS and DLink to balance them without completely neutering them but they need something next banlist.
I think since you can’t re-write the cards to say, “reveal a VS,” the only thing they could do is semi-limit the main decks and maybe limit Rock. Or you know banish TCBOO. Lab is a good comparison. If the deck gets going it racks up advantage but on a surface level, it doesn’t do anything THAT unfair. It’s just the combo of everything in one deck.
I think they should have a random card duel gives you 50 mosters 30 spells and 20 traps and u build a deck and it resets every 24 hours for old school yugioh feel also maybe add trade one card of the same rarity to one person everyday.
Get some friends and do that. It doesnt make sense or have a space in modern yugioh to be implimented. Let me tell you what you SHOULD do my guy. Go to an older format or go to Rush Duel. Rush Duel is just old school yugioh but better
I have been running pure Chaos and I'd be so upset if Ruler gets banned. Limited, Semi, I'll cope lol but it feels like he's the only extender almost in pure chaos if you don't open reasoning or grass

Dlink really needs to get hit. Tracer needs to go to 1 (Rokkets, I'm sorry). Chaos Ruler needs a ban, and Pisty as well. Quick Launch also needs to go to 1, it's not even a hard once per turn card.
I’m sorry but Shifter needs to be banned. It’s literally the strongest hand trap in the game, even though in this current format Kash can play under it and Vanquish can manage. But 95% of every deck and archetypes simply have not a single play under shifter WTF.

Nah they are mostly Yugi Boomers and Salt Lords who either care too much about making the game as unfun as possible or try to forcibly revert the game in a way decks are no longer built for

@@FrostReave tomahawk is legal at OCG and no one seen used it at tournament, verte is legal as long dragoon remains banned. and probably never been Unbanned at MD since OCG who has control the banlist.

Just draw the out is a bad argument cause this is best of 1, you literally can't prepare for everything let alone draw the out you've prepared just when you want, so even if there were more counters to stun it wouldn't make ot any less annoying
@@kyji1569 there isn't really much skill in maining a random duster or some in engine backrow removal and just praying you find it in the rare lab/stun matchup. The more space you dedicate to backrow the less engine and combo hate you can run and because backrow heavy decks are much less common it's downright suboptimal and inefficient to overprepare for it and leaving yourself less prepared for other 80+% of decks so most decks can only run a couple anti backrow cards at most hope for the best. This is a massive problem with bo1, while in tcg and ocg though floodgates are still just as annoying game 1 you still have an entire side deck to pack outs and properly retrofit your deck for the matchup in game 2 and 3 where as in bo1 you just go in blind against potentially any deck so there's nothing you can do when eventually inevitably face something your deck isn't prepared for and it feels all the more frustrating.

Absolutely because floodgates tries to prevent the game from being played at all and the other plays the game and is interactive. Maybe get good. Although I will say I D-Link and Branded absolutely should be nerfed but that doesnt justify floodgates

You have to know that using tournament results to determine the meta is stupid when STUN is a tier 3 deck. This community is wack, if someone is taking the tier system seriously after that you arr just dumb. No other community works like that, it should be the winner of the event, "topping" proves absolutely nothing. I mean, in what other discipline you would want to follow the strats of the the guy placing 16th... nevermind tabulating that data in the same category as the number 1 guy. Yugioh has such a "different" community, just use winrates like a normal human being, is not the 1920's anymore. And yes, back then the chess community would go crazy after a magazine showed wack openings "topping" events. Like 100 years ago ._.
Top Cut(the elimination round) is largely irrelevant because the guy that goes undefeated in Pools can just get eliminated instantly at the start of Top Cut against the bottom seed, and place lower despite having a better win ratio against stronger decks and players up to that point. It happened at paper worlds, it happened at the MCS finale, and it's going to keep causing variance as long as Single Elimination is a thing.
Meta players: "I play with Top Tier decks because it's the best way to win duels. Competitive Yu-Gi-Oh don't have space for bad decks and players because they can't keep up." Also, meta players: "Stun deck players are trash. They only rely on floodgates to win games. It's easy to win like that, and they can't say they have skill if relying of floodgates. I can't beat stun decks with my expensive Top Tier deck and that's unfair. I have lots of skill, but I can't navigate through floodgates despite knowing they're legal and there's cards that can get rid of them. But still, IT'S UNFAIR."

@Timeater nah its pretty silly. The top tier deck beat the stun player. No one trashes stun decks because they can't beat them. They trash them because they're bad. There was also a game where the floodgate was outed. Not that it supports your aimless comment in any way because Dkayed has expressed, and has shown repeatedly, that VS is good without flood gates.
Navigate through floogates? You know that the entire point of floodgates is they stop interaction so it's literally not possible to "navigate" so the only way to beat them if your deck is weak to a particular floodgate is "just draw the out lol" which is a garbage argument in bo1 with no side deck and the opponent could be playing literally anything, there is no semblance of skill in that you just have it or you don't.
