Yeah, I stopped with playground Yu-Gi-Oh in 06. Started back around a year ago. Dkayed and some of the other yugi-tubers have helped a lot for me to learn the metas and interactions upon returning.
Yup I stopped playing in 2013 and came back last year thanks to Master duel and Dkayed. Whilst I miss going to tournaments nothing is more convenient than simply just playing it on PC at home.
That repeated Gimmick Puppet Lock was so cringe. Konami should just ban the Dragon even before it's out of packs. There are too many other cards like Puppet, better off banning the war criminal and not the 10 different crimes it can commit.
Konami's too stingy and doesn't like to give UR refunds. Once the pack rotates out, chances are they'll ban Puppet and cards like Ido. Outside of the lock, Called By, DD Crow and Bystials all stop it and it becomes a glorified 3k beatstick
Tbf the most recent banlist had a few URs on it. So maybe Komoney realized that you can't just leave URs untouched forever. Banning Sanctifire (and Expulsion being gone already) is easier than banning like 10 different cards that could be used for a lock.@@SoulShaded
Winning with puppet-lock is beyond cheap. I don't see why they aren't banning the prime 3 targets or not release Albion. I'd understand any naughty combination of words in the human language uttered by the pend player. Man was robbed (even if he was being an idiot game 1).
The game is very much alive with or without these videos. Steam charts showed they average around 20,000 people on and off and that’s just the Pc players. That said we are losing more players for every insanely broken deck.
Any deck that runs Triple Tactics Thrust and/or Small World can punish Sleepy getting draws in the Standby Phase. Labrynth typically doesn't run either because they don't "need" to. Droll's actually not that great there unless you already opened your answers, even though that effect always lets you activate it.
@@travisdinham6084 coz those 15cards you mention is a floodgate. sanctifire is a fair card, banning it won't do shit, the floodgate is still free, you're just crippling the deck for no reason. we're repeating gossip shadow ban vs rhongo ban all over again.
The rikka player vs vanquish could have just normal the primula search princess with glamour and had strenna trap and princess negate with konkon tribute and strenna summon from extra either teardrop or hypertron, that guy was ass.
Quick question when do we think its time to neuter branded….. its been the best if not one of the very top decks every since its release…. Everyother deck that has this presence (adamancipator,DLink, etc )has been neutered yet this one gets more and more support with limits that do nothing to the deck simply adds more room for the new support
Tbh, I hope they don’t hurt it too much. I love the deck I play them in tcg ever since they released, so I was happy when they came to master duel.. I agree tho, they need a hit I hate that damn puppet tho.
To be fair, Lyrilusc Tri-Brigade sets up one of the most brutal turn 1 boards of any of the real decks. Not that that was the best turn 1 board it can even put up, but still the boards the deck can create are brutal to try to get through.
11:23 that doesn’t make any sense. He could’ve gathered more information on the opponent’s deck and strategy by playing out the duel. Throwing the duel also throws his/her ability to gather information. Just as an example he has no idea if this branded player runs gimmick puppet lock or not. But, if he had played out that duel he would’ve had a higher chance of finding that intel out. He gained NOTHING by throwing that match if that’s what he did. 18:18 what do ya know. He’s running the puppet lock. Throwing a game is never the smart play. You might do it for other reasons but it’s never the smart play.
welp that 1 pend player learn hard lesson: don't throw game. idk why pend players use Promethean Princess since it is a very underwhelming card for decks that are not fire focus but hopefully they can move on with this copi*m.

@@geniusmaker6438as much as i hate floodgate, i think people should agree that's how competitive meta work, you abuse the strongest+reliable legal strat available, if i ever play competitive and my deck cant deal with the floodgate, then it just unlucky/skill issue on my side
First duel is just pointing out the obvious bullshit of Yu-Gi-Ohs no skill negate spam decks. Oops, I mean, "Wow! Every deck plays exactly like pendulum format PePe! That's so much fun!"
i expect the chaos ruler ban but wyverbuster sure is heartbreaking and they decided to ban it instead of this puppet lock combo. guess they really want players to build branded desperately to sell those packs
@kyji1569 chaos ruler didn't need to get banned because it only was good for long games, if they really wanted to kill the deck they should've limited tracer and continue along with the wyverbuster ban. This banlist is a dragon link hit to sell the new superheavy cards that are coming out soon
Elf is free but the cost of keeping it free (basically both the Nimble and Frog engines are practically unusable, the Runick Engine is too hit for it to be worth using with Spright, Jet is limited, Merlli is banned (something that didn't happened in the OCG either)) makes it not that worth running anymore
