Floor Interview and Puccini Reaction by Songs and Thongs 

It is a Opera audience 🤘🤗 And i swear you, the Nightwish Army loves this Video from Dutch TV.

This did not have the same affect on the Dutch people as did her appearance on Beste Zangers in 2019 when she sang to six other well known Dutch singers. After she performed her solo version of Shallow she became so popular. But worth listening to any song by her on this show. Personal favourite is her first song sung to Henk Poort a famous opera and musical theatre star whom she had idolised aa a young girl. That’s the scary part ….she’s this good with about 1 year of true opera training ….imagine with constant training and study and concentration just on opera????? But thankfully for all of us she’s a metal head and can still sing classical style when needed in all those metal songs we love. And yes, Floor is absolutely stunningly beautiful…was in 2nd row at Massachusetts concert and she is truly a breathtaking singer and amazing frontwoman. Her eyes and smile though 😍 …I couldn’t take my eyes off her she’s truly captivating….I think Sharlene said on your Wish I Had an Angel video she seduces you vocally it is truly the case. 🤘

As I've said before my favorite thing here, beyond the absolutely lovely aria, is the lead-in and the aftermath. This is an overly starched and buttoned-down classical and opera music show. He introduces her as a "metal" singer and plays a Nighwish clip...I absolutely love the looks on the faces of so many in the audience - this metal......person with the nose ring, is going to try her hand at "legitimate" opera.....hhmmmmppffff!!! And Floor, a person of much grace, in the nicest way possible essentially says "OK, that's cool. Here, hold my beer!" And yes, absolutely somewhat different faces after she kills with a famous and well known aria from Puccini! Welcome to other genres, Bitchez!!! rl 🤘👹🤘

Love this Song and Floor

At this point Floor was very unknown in the Netherlands. I must admit that I didnt heard of her at that time too 🥹….but how much different it is today! Since a few years (especially after Beste Zangers) Floor has become a very popular person back here as well. Whcich is awesome of course!

Absolute perfection.. Just look note by note her facial expressions and you will see someone who knows EXACTLY what she's singing.

So this is after America, where she started in Sept/Oct 2012, then going to South America 2013 after this, realize she's likely been with Nightwish only few months during this interview. Puccino arias are know for lots of portamenti (the plural in Italian ends with i not s) which is something that Floor is actually quite good at (just part of everything to do with singing for her).

Hi Guys. Love all your Nightwish, Northward and Revamp reactions! If you want to see a band who are normally afternoon or early evening performers around the festivals and are amazing live check out British metal band Skindred. Their front man Benji Webb can work a crowd to a frenzy with a brilliant fusion of brutal metal and reggae and a load of banter. Check out their performance of 'Warning' from Resurrection Fest 2015 (you might want to put up a language warning). They're a completely different thing from Nightwish but I love them both!

Floor is not an opera singer with only one year of opera training. You should not compare her to professional opera singers either, but her performance shows how talented she is and how well she sings Italian.

Note that at the end the presenter touches the old man (orchestra's leader) on the shoulder and says ''Still beautiful, not ?'', because no one, and certainly he, didn't believe a metal chick could do something like that. Actually the whole audience (pretentious know it all's) thought the same, but as usual Floor shut them up.

the song you want to hear growling most of the song is "yours is an empty hope" at wembley. I read in an interview that floor was really nervous, singing for mostly a bunch of old farts in this opera bit.

Did you not say that you could both understand the spoken words and read the subtitles? And did Floor not say in the beginning that she was asked only weeks(!) before this to join Nightwish, and that she had finished the tour in America and the UK and was going to tour in Australia and South America? And still ending this video with 'Oh 2013 that's pretty much right after she joined the band if I remember correctly' Like....really??? 🤦 Did you not listen or just didn't care what she was saying? 🤪 Oohh Harry, Harry, Harry......
