Thanks, this was really performance, what we can remember long time! Sunday, one Finnish music magazine put this RU-vid video on their page and wrote "The Day When Internet Went Broken". Meaning all us, Nightwish + Floor fans were same time looking this song... And now, when it has been in RU-vid about 30h, it has got 1 052 860 views!!! And all of us, are acting like those other singers in the show!!!

This show has been huge for her. She's now a star in her own country finally, her solo tour of the Netherlands sold out in a day, and it will also bring new fans to Nightwish. Henk will be on her solo tour to do this song with her too. I imagine someday it will lead to them doing the whole musical together at some point.

This was amazing. As I said before, she has been singing for 20 years and was never popular in her home Country even though a superstar world wide. This show has given her so much deserved recognition. She sold out 9 shows in Netherlands in a day so way popular now. Many of us who follow her are emotional because we always knew she was special. She is also going to be touring world wide with Nightwish next year with new album release. I highly recommend attending concert. I also recommend following her on Social media. She is overwhelmed by response and has thanked everyone. Well over a million views for this song alone. The last minute of this performance is unbelievable

Hey hello , love your reaction! Know that Floor Janssen , currently frontsinger of Nightwish , idolised Henk Poort and he is one of the reasons she started singing. Henk Poort his background is in opera and musical and theatre, he played the Phantom in the musical Phantom of the Opera in the Netherlands years ago. The ending underlined by the drumming rhythm is pretty much what a crescendo and a climax are supposed to be like. Henk is a beast of Phantom. And Floor did not go for the usual E6 note, which even sopranos that can go that high without straining their voice too much can sustain about 2 seconds. She went instead of E6 for D6 (one note lower) and sustained it somewhere between 7-8 seconds. She also did not go for the lighter vibrato, but powered through what could be probably called head voice belting.

We can say that this season we went out of Best Singers with a blast. During the performance it also started to rain hard and thunderstorms so that the tent literally almost collapsed, it resulted in this special performance

The season began with Floor singing a song from an operetta for Henk and ended with Floor's Christine singing for Henk's Phantom of the Opera. It also began with me knowing and loving only Floor and ended with me loving the whole cast & show.

Henk Poort was also the original Phantom in the Dutch version of it in the 90's, played a big role in Les Miserables and did the voice and vocals of Gaston in the dutch version of Belle and the Beast

And Henk was amazing too - such a pure tone, although he did had a bit of grit in the second verse - he wanted to get a bit rockier. Fab growly "Sing for me" close to the end. Delicious. I also loved his aggression. He played it so well, managing to bring that character in a very short space of time. He's played the role before and you can tell he's a good musical actor - that combination of adoration, obsession and anger. He looked imposing, even though his Christine was such an imposing figure herself! Take a look at the contrast between Phantom-Henk and the Henk who sat the first week listening to Floor sing him the Vilja Lied. Almost looks like a different person. So good.

Nah, I think Henk knew perfectly well what he got himself into. He knew his role, as he actually played the Phantom years ago, and that role is to set up his counterpart. He served as a pedestal to Floor, he knew it, and he performed perfectly. And obviously, so did Floor.

Kudos to you for holding it together Kristin. I witnessed one reactor breaking down into a heap of sobs. Unfortunately this WAS the very last performance of Beste Zangers 2019. I'm 100% sure next saturday it will feel like something has died inside me. Kudos to Floor, Henk, Samantha, Ruben, Emma, Rolf and Tim! Kudos to the Marcel Fisser Band. The reaction I would love to see is how Tuomas reacted when he saw this. As far as I know, they haven't played Phantom of the Opera since 2005, and now he pretty much has to put it as a staple again. Floor and Marko have a great chemistry together, so I'm sure that will be amazing to see even without Henk.

Tuomas don't want to return to that full lyrical sound on his songs, even after the Tarja era they have a lot of songs that were not written for a lyrical singer, Nightwish nowadays yes or yes need a versatile singer like Floor but it would be great to hear this song again with Floor and Marco 😉🙏

I love that RU-vid's gone so gaga over Floor, including people who have never ever reacted to Nightwish and are not into metal. Because of this program and because of her being able to do so many styles effectively, she's impressing even more people than before. There is no downside to this for anyone! We win, she wins, everybody else discovering her wins, Nightwish wins, the Netherlands wins... Tarja-era Nightwish fans might also take it in and rediscover the band. I did a year or so ago thanks to RU-vid reactions. I saw Anette live and she was great, band still awesome, loved Dark Passion Play. But then my feelings about the band waned a bit (certainly when she had similar criticisms of them that Tarja had), although I still loved listening to the music. Then I saw a couple of the Wacken 2013 clips and reactions, my head promptly exploded and i spent the next few months watching everything I could get my hands on and calling myself seven kinds of idiot for not paying attention!

The hype was real, very real, but unlike what we have gotten used to (the hype raised expectations to a point, it can only fail) But not this time, this time the hype was still understated, they still brought us something we were not ready for, we knew it would be great, and still... we were not expecting absolute perfection. But that is just what we were given, total perfection, these two amazing voices together is.. how i imagine heaven to be lol Ty for yet another lovely reaction Kristin, its so enjoyable to see you eyes light up with joy, the sparkle in them is just way to charming to ignore :)

hello Kristin - as I already wrote you on FB - you have to wear your seat belt. This is - in my opinion - the best implementation of this duet I've ever heard. Floor and Henk are both made to perform this more often. It's just unbelievable

The only thing that could make it better is if the Metropole Symphony would be allowed to back them. Because *that* would create the kind of musical theater that Tuomas enjoys, in spite of Tuomas saying that Nightwish would never perform with an orchestra, because other groups (Epica, Within Temptation) have already done it. Tuomas may have to make an exception in this case.

They will not do the whole POTO, but Henk will join her on stage for her 9 solo shows in the Netherlands at the beginning of the year... and to top it all, Henk only wanted to do this duet under 2 conditions... 1. It had to be more "Nightwish" that the original version and 2. he wanted to do this again with Nightwish... so in November 2020 in Amsterdam... Nightwish feat. Henk Poort

Lets hope they have cameras and recording equipment when Henk sings with Nightwish in 2020. I don't see how they can't at this point. The shows video has over a million views in a day.

First thing I did before even starting the video is hit the like button. I knew you would be blown away by this performance. I also know that you'll hate me for writing this, but I also have a ticket for the Amsterdam concert. But being the wonderful person you are, Kristin. I'm sure you'll forgive me in the end. ;) I'll be seeing Marco too, next year on his solo tour, in Budapest. What a wonderful time to be alive! This women has brought me back the times when I was young. And we were constantly looking for concerts to go to, new albums to come out. Chatting about have you heard this or that? It was worth the wait.

This is a fantastic performance by Floor and Henk! I knew Henk for years as a top opera & musical singer! I saw Floor 3 years ago in a Dutch TV program 'De Reuni', and this brought me to 'Nightwish' ! Most Dutch people didn't know Floor yet, even though she was well known outside the Netherlands as the singer of 'Nightwish'! Now, by 'The Best Singers' she is seen and embraced as one of the best singer in the Netherlands, and world class!
