She's extremely impressive, what she does in Nightwish and what she does here in this show, that is proof she could be doing anything any style and be very successful at all of it. Her vocal abilities are only found among the elite of the elite in singing.

She doesn't change in another person or plays a role. She's always herself but puts in the effort to tell the story of the song as she feels it and she's a master in that

After this show she did a tour in the Netherlands with the songs she did here and song of Nightwish, Revamp and After Forever. And I was at one of the shows. I knew here for about 7 years. I really love her.

Hi! I'm pretty sure you misspoke when you mentioned the 'backing track'. This show has a phenomenal live backing band called the Marcel Fisser Band. They accompany each and every singer in this show. Some time after Beste Zangers 2019 aired Floor had a solo tour in the Netherlands and the Marcel Fisser Band was her backing group.

Floor has recently recorded a song for 'War Child' originally in Dutch and then also translated in English. There's a video of one of her studio sessions worth checking out for a completely different voice again, but so full of emotion!

Maybe, you would love to listen to Floor Jansen singing The phantom of the opera' with Henk Poort. You saw him in this show. He played the phantom in the musical the phantom of the opera, in the Netherlands.

You mentioned she sounds like any good singer performing a song like this, but there is one very, very big difference: the emotions she manages to convey. When I hear Floor singing, I always get the chills and goosebumps, and there are only very, very few singers who manage to cause that type of reaction in me. Her chameleon ways are basically part of her being a very strong empath and a highly sensitive person, and the work she puts into it. She really gets into a song, makes it her own, and then performs it conveying all those emotions and feelings in a way no other singer can. She becomes one with the song. And this also happens when she sings with Nightwish. This is truly awesome, and the trait of a really world class, or rather, beyond world class singer and artist. If there's a song she cannot sing, it hasn't been written yet. I would like to meet the composer who would even attempt such a feat. I don't think it's possible - yet there are pop stars who are lauded by the industry who have never seen or heard of Floor - and could not reach notes she gets to easily. And they are the ones with walls full of awards. It just shows the bias of the music industry. And it took 22 YEARS for her to become an "overnight success" in her own country. 🤦😱😭

This woman can do ANYTHING! And seemingly effordless giving the best of them in any field a run for their money at that.

Floor is an extremely high-sensitive empath. She feels Everything, and that's the reason she can transform, or maybe even better said, transcend, every emotion, into the smallest emotional detail. If she has something with the style, lyrics, or deeper content and meaning of the song, she breaths it in, straight into her heart, feels it into the deepest depth, and then sings it out straight to the heart of the listener. It is all so natural for her. She is a born heart-to-heart connector. A very special gift, which is not given to many artists. Nice reaction, as always. Enjoyed it. Thank you for going through all the Beste Zangers performances by Floor Jansen, and I hope sometime, the songs sung by all the others on her special guest day. I believe this is a performance that demonstrates Floor's natural empathy and versatility as well as anything else she has ever sung. We know the has a wide variety of fantastic techniques, but she always selects and uses them in a manner which serves the song, not in a way that is designed to draw the focus onto her - although it does that as well (she can't help that, with such a commanding stage presence)! As has been said many times now, most singers sing what they can - Floor sings whatever she wants and however she wants, but she always puts the song first. She is the supreme storyteller in all her performances.

On your comparison to other singing divas, I could not respectfully disagree more. All the singers you mentioned and I cannot think of many others that do not fall in the same category, except for maybe Billie Eillish or Aurora, are all about belting, runs and whistle tones with no subtlety, restraint or care for interpretation of the lyrics. Floor is all about what the song needs, requires or is calling for and no ego or need to put the spotlight on her many vocal talents, that's the difference between a truly mature artist and some juvenile diva.

Yes Floor surprises you time and again and never sounds like the last.. Yes also at Floor’s episode the other singers did a lot of surprising songs we didn’t expect and were going out of their comfort zones. Like Emma Heesters but Henk Poort as well. I'm totally for covering all songs Floor did in this show, every single one is awesome, but there are some real highlights from the other singers too, notably "Sound of Silence" (from Henk for Floor), "Strong" (from Emma for Floor), "Vivo per Lei" (Emma and Henk in the "duets" episode), If you still want some more, I very much liked "Pa Olvidarte" (Emma with Rolf) "Our Decades in the Sun" (Nightwish song from Samantha for Floor) "Nemo" (Nightwish song from Tim for Floor) "Hotel California" (Rolf for Floor) "Despacito" (Henk for Emma) Have fun!

TUOMAS plays the piano in the song and the guitar player from nightwish is in it. The cartoonist in the video is one of TUOMAS's childhood memories when he was a boy.
