Brava! She has a powerful yet tragical voice! to me she is a first discovery! Clicked by mistake! Truly amazing! i want to here some more of her hreat singing!
The appearance shown in the image was certainly not what it would have been at the time of this recording. I do not know the date of the latter, but it is evidently of the electric era, while the photo must be from the time of her debut or shortly after, in the second half of the 1900 decade. However, since she could also sing the soprano repertoire, It would be interesting to know if she already had a fully developed vocal "body" in his young years, or if it would grow stronger over time.
Dammit that´s very probably a true Falcon type of voice as the role of Leonora (La Favorita) needs for her, a very ambiguous voice mixed in both a Dramatic Soprano and a Lyrical Mezzo at the same-time and splitting in one or another type depending on the moment when she needs to sing more alike to each of them.
Technically healthy, but often overacting and camp in her delivery. Shame, because this is a beautiful voice. She could have gone further with it, with some vocal acting and better inflection. Oh well.
