Bud, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for not peeing your pants like the rest of the fans right now. Not asking you to lie, but not interested in pity parties either. Go Noles!
Epic misread by Norvell et al. This could've easily been a rebuild season and you would've gotten the same results with half the money spent. At least the youth movement would've gotten some real action and experience to build towards the future. We will not nor should be top NIL bidders until we leave the ACC. Norvell strikes me as an emerging manager, and he's going to have to learn what every manager learns the very hard way: the moment there is doubt about performance, the moment there is no doubt about the need for a move. Anything short of 7 changes to the staff would be a massive disappointment. You keep DB coach, maybe QB coach and TBD on ST and DE coach.
Imo I think we should make these moves: 1. OC 2. OL Coach 3. LB Coach 4. DE Coach (FSU has Verse, Johnson, Fiske, Burns, Sweat, Thomas, all playing well in the league at that position on top of Payton who has had a good college career so far (not this year) but we can’t sign elite guys out of HS at that position. 5.Possibly the WR coach too but I think that’s more of an overall offensive issue. Only thing that may save him is he has young guys in that room that are talented. He’s at least recruited well as of recently. All of the WR commits leaving makes me think they know he’s getting fired so yea.
You think the fact that the WR’s on this team can’t catch a cold is an overall offensive problem that doesn’t involve the WR coach? He’s #1 on the list to be fired and those decommits are exactly what you think they are, he’s done and he should be embarrassed of himself. 1,21 and 8 have literally not gotten better in any way since they arrived on campus (I guess 8 can block yay!) and that’s on Dugans he may be the most deserving to be fired on the entire staff besides Randy Shannon
Forget all these coaching changes. The Noles need a 5 star QB. Brock and Luke just won't cut it. A good QB will produce the offense needed. That's what Travis did last year. When the offense scores you'll see alot of defensive 3 and outs.
@@arnoldabramson9383 this is so stupid I don’t even know what to say. Luke is the highest level 4 star a QB can be and not be a 5 star as a prospect. You know who wasn’t close in HS? Jordan Travis. Luke is the QB they build around. He’s 18 I have no clue what you think you’ve seen from Luke to disqualify him as the QB of the future but trying to prove your point of needing a 5 star QB and using Jordan as the example is the most brain dead thing I’ve seen in awhile.
Truth Serum: Im not the biggest CMN fan but i do think he knows ball. It is my belief that CMN needs to bring "recruiters" and not hire more "coaches". He's a good enough coach to supplement what recruiters he'll bring in as positions coache.
How much does Pitt pay Narduzi? How many 4 & 5 stars does Pitt have on the roster? Jimbo left because he didn’t get as much money as he wanted and the facilities he wanted. Norvell, you have gotten everything you asked for. It’s year 5. WTH 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
There must have been some behind-the-scenes stuff going on. To not give Jimbo, a proven-winner who delivered a NC and several 1st rd NFL guys, what he wanted and show him the door and then to give all of that and more to a guy that really had very limited success and history seems to be a huge blunder.
@@nicholaslake5937 agreed. Jimbo was an arrogant ass too! The downfall of this program started with him the last year he was at FSU and stopped recruiting during the season when he knew he was leaving.
@@Kochino823 As for Pitt and your comments.....isn't it mind-boggling to watch almost any random game on Saturday and see a team with far less money, recognition, and "talent" be able to block, tackle, catch, no commit penalties, use strategy etc...how many teams with a bunch of 3-stars and a coach making 6 figures can still go out and compete, and sometimes upset, top-25 teams? What does that tell you? Nothing against CMN personally, but this current FSU program is staggeringly bad on multiple levels.
@@nicholaslake5937 Norvell has stated that he hires coaches over recruiters, but the coaching is not showing on the field. Only the lack of depth for the lack of recruiting. Use Miami as an example. Mario is killing it in recruiting and doing well in the portal. It hurts typing this using Miami’s coach as an example. 🤮😂
@@Kochino823 Haha, right, so use all the other examples, like Pitt. Look at some of the teams that we've played. Look at BYU, Utah, Indiana, Vandy....I clicked on some random highlights from a lower-tier AAC game recently and even those teams have coaches that call plays that work for their players, move the ball, get the other team off the field on 3rd down by blitzing, have WRs that catch the ball, etc. I also have to say that I work 55+ hours per week at a job I don't really like. If I were a football coach, just an assistant making mid 6 figures, I'd work 70 hours a week to coach AND recruit....seems like it isn't asking for much unless you are hiring old and tired guys.
Incredible 1-7 start. A potential 1-11 season after a 13-1 season would be for the history books. Absolutely marvelous. The state of Georgia took fsu’s soul
I disagree. In the regular recruiting days yes. In this day and age of NIL and ESD, you can flip a team in 1-2 years. FSU did it and plenty of examples this season.
The longer MN is here, the more time it will take to get back to where we need to be. MN is a lost cause and he is unsalvagable. 2025 is lost people. We have no recruits, we aren't going to get any quality portal guys and definitely no good coaches want the stench of MN on them. MN is not a major league coach, he just got lucky because he used the portal to I ts max while hitting on damn near portal recruit which we all knew was unsustainable. He can't recruit and that has been proven to be so for the last three years. Give him 50 million to walk away next year and be done with it next year FBA/B1
I don’t think anyone is questioning his knowledge, at least I’m not. But I am questioning his effort and outlook on the season, coaches, players, recruiting, and on and on. He has a lot of material he is choosing not to discuss. I hope Bud gets back into his groove because I think we all know his ability to provide a good product. 🙏🏼
Good take if it was stated 5 years ago, but these players get paid now, just like professional athletes. The expectations are higher now. If they don’t like that, then I’m sure we would be happy to take the money back. Can’t have it both ways. 🤷🏻♂️
Sorry, in late again. I respectfully accept your views, you always seem to be level headed. Do you? What would you do, get a new play caller? Get a new offensive line coach that develops players? I really like Adkins, but is he spread to thin? Offensive line hasn’t been developed, every time something happens they move the young men to guard. Where are the tackles, both are hurt
Nothing strange about it. Ingram announced at the beginning of the season he wouldn't be on the Nolecast much the next few months as he had too much to focus on with the battles end.
Bud- What are you talking about? Bad calls? QB room? Too bad Tom can’t be on this show to keep you in check. I used to come here to listen to a well thought out analysis and now I’m listening to you talk about rainbows and unicorns. You are pumping sunshine Bud. I hope you can get back to giving good feedback soon. I really enjoyed your take on games, staff, and players before this year.
Half of us are completely and utterly checked out. No one is watching FSU embarrass itself. He has to make chicken salad out of chicken shit. I don't blame him. Bud's awesome but he's been given an awful hand to talk about nolecast stuff.
The reporters covering this team aren’t much better than the staff. No one will ask tough questions, just softballs. Coach Norvell, how have you failed so miserably this year?
@marccoulombe4 Obviously, it isn't a record that's .500 but implying that Norvell is a bad coach while he's 8 games above .500 at FSU and well above .500 in his career is an opinion based off of recency bias. This season has been an anomaly and Norvell is allowed to fix this mess and get things back on track whether you like. it or not.
