In Maricopa County AZ we had an older Grady for several years. His name is Joe Arpaio. He was a hard headed sheriff who went after the criminals in and entering our state. He made the criminals wear pink jumpsuits and worked on chaingangs cleaning up the highways. We had a clean safe state in those years. Now we are inundated with criminals who crossed the border illegally and we are no longer safe and we are approaching the filth of SF and NYC. Those were the days. 😭😭😭😭😭

The law enforcement can do their job, but when the justice department just has a revolving door with no punishment, cops get fed up. Why risk their life or livelihood on a job? Blame the courts and the DA for being soft on crime, and the media for failing in pointing this out and stirring the pot to make the criminals the victims. A couple of years ago a 17 yr old pulled a knife on me to show off to his friends, one was filming this. He was arrested and released here in Osceola Co. He now sits in prison in Wyoming for trying to strangle his girlfriend. She was the other friend with him when he pulled the knife on me. People here are being taught it's ok to break the law, just don't get caught.

I was a prosecutor in Seminole County some time ago. The sheriff has some input into the case, but the State Attorney's office and the assigned judge ultimately determine what's going to happen to a defendant. Thankfully, with a few exceptions, the criminal justice system here in Florida is extraordinarily tough.

The reality is he does not want that kind of transparency and the accountability that would come with it. He could care less about the Constitution, he only cares about controlling the narrative. I am so impressed they had Sheriff Grady Judd on Fox news. We are in Canada and have been watching his site for a long time. If everyone had a Sheriff like this it would make people feel much safer. I’m a retired NYS sheriffs officer, went on the in 1973. We didn’t play back then, I was 25 served 40 years, retired 2013. I’m ashamed of the way my X-state has turned out.

Service is what military do, we serve. Grady Dudd does not serve snyone but himself. Don’t confuse a public employee with a veteran, not even close. Quite insulting really.
