Wyoming youth pastor arrested in Polk County for molesting child: Grady Judd 

Imagine if all law enforcement agencies, officers and politicians were as transparent and thorough as this wonderful man.

I find it greatly disturbing that there are so many adults out there sexually interested in children, and these are just the cases we hear about.

Every county needs a Sheriff like Him!!

As an elementary school teacher myself, I consider this behaviour abhorrent and totally unacceptable. My students mean everything to me and guiding them by an excellent example is always very important.

Parents need to stop allowing their children to be alone with just any adult, especially those that they think will be most safe with. Pray fervently if you have to leave your children with someone because of work. A family member who everyone loved was a predator, no one would have ever believed it, but was absolutely true 😭😭😭 There are child molesters in every kind of place,even the churches of every denomination. Read your bible everyday and raise your children in it as The Lord taught us to. Pray pray pray fervently, but you do not have to let your children be just anywhere just because they say they are a Christian, some are not so don't take the chance. Please be careful with your children.

When I watch these video reports by Sheriff Grady, it is comforting to see and know we have such a moral caliber person in government who truly cares and looks out to protect the innocent. This is the mindset we need from authority figures in every community across the nation. Thank you Sherriff Grady, the common sense people salute you!

Sadly the people he mentions, teachers, pastors, priests, and scout leaders, are some of the worst offenders. The very reason they get into those professions is access to children.

I understand the need to enforce the law on the 20 year old coach, but seems innapropriate to drag him in with the other cases. He was simply continuing a relationship he started in high school, with another high schooler, the same high schooler. They didnt state he was finding new underage victims to contact.

I am a married woman with four children. Our family attended a church for many years. When I volunteered to be an AWANA leader, my husband and I had to have background checks and references. This was in the mid 1990's. I was under the impression that this was standard procedure across the country. How the heck did this man get away with this?

My granddaughter was molested by a neighbor who was a mailman and a coach of a township basketball team of which my granddaughter was one of the players. Her dad is a retired USMC veteran and thank God he didn’t kill this guy. Her case is still open as of today. Her molester was arrested and hopefully this will be resolved soon. God bless you, your loved ones and all your officers who serve under your authority. From a grandmother of 8 wonderful grandchildren.

This world...... 😢 I'm nearly 64, and I no longer recognize this place. Yeah, there's always been bad, even evil people, but things have changed. You can feel it, even without watching all the horrible stories, day-after-day, almost nonstop. I've been retired for a few years and have been thinking of moving to a warmer climate, and I'd consider Polk County, Florida, not only because of the climate, but also because of Sheriff Grady Judd. Not that he'll always be there himself, but I believe his character, sense of decency and law and order couldn't help but to have built a top-notch law enforcement agency of people that care about doing the right thing. Sadly, we often don't see that in *many* agencies. I still own a small farm in a certain midwestern state that's now rented. For years we had the most crime-riddled, defective and ineffective sheriff's department one could imagine. *Finally,* after many years, the sheriff was brought up on 10 or 11 felony charges. So, what happened? The sheriff's high dollar lawyers (that the sheriff didn't have to pay a penny for, himself) were flown in from Chicago, a plea deal was reached, and the sheriff was allowed to retire with his full pension after never spending even one day in jail. No one was surprised. Although, I did think that maybe he'd get a Rolex as a departing gift. Maybe he did, I don't know. _Generally_ speaking, when you have good leadership, those beneath that leadership act in kind. You'll always have the occasional 'bad apples,' but they always show themselves......eventually. As far as I knew that entire department SUCKED, top to bottom. Lastly, during the 'bad years,' when I still lived on that farm my house was broken into. As were literally hundreds of others. They cleaned me out. After sheriff crime-face was replaced by a good man, within about (2) weeks a deputy came to my house. He told me that my very high dollar collectible revolver had been recovered in Las Vegas and that I could stop by anytime and pick it up. When I went there, I was talking to a deputy and asked if the firearm had been recently recovered. He said, _"No, it's been sitting here for about 2 YEARS."_ Even though I called a few times to see if any progress had been made in my case, they chose to just not tell me that my revolver was sitting right there nearly the entire time. I had heard stories of people having interactions with that sheriff's department (and sheriff), and having legally owned firearms confiscated, and then it being extremely difficult to get them back. Sometimes the people would just give up trying. At the time there was also a 'Good Ol' Boy' judge there, too. Oh, I almost forgot - the assistant county prosecutor (at the time) and her boyfriend were also arrested for having a meth. lab. A very classy place.

Can this man get a tv show? why doesn’t main stream media wanna highlight this sickness in our society?!?

These cases, especially the guy in church who was molesting children under 12 years old, are hardly surprising. Someone with this attraction would be looking for ways to get access to children, and becoming a teacher or a church leader is the best way to do that. Especially a church leader requires no significant amount of education or background checks. There are no surprises in hearing about someone like this in a church. My only question is: How many more like him are still out there?

This is abhorrent. Bring shame on themselves but also on the name of Christ. The victims no doubt feel shame and shouldn't. Pray they get the help and grace they need.

Sheriff Judd should lead law enforcement nationwide, not just in Polk County. He's a competent, effective, straight-shooting, "no BS" law enforcement leader. I'm surprised Governor DeSantis hasn't already tapped him to lead law enforcement statewide in Florida (FDLE).

What is a 69 year old doing as a youth/child pastor. That in itself is a big red flag.

What I don't understand is, if someone has a history of repeatedly abusing children, why are they walking free? Let alone a creep like that at a church. No way that there weren't signs or other issues that nobody saw or noticed! Parents need to keep tabs on their children at all times and know who they are with.

This activity is still flourishing in Catholic churches. I was almost a victim. I was able to run away because the priest was very drunk. I was 12. When I told my Catholic parents they did nothing. Was 1974.

This is very similar to what’s happened at my old school multiple times… but the school likes to push the accusations aside. Sometimes wish we had a Grady here.

As a Christian myself it breaks my heart that someone in that position would do that to a child, forever turning them away from our Lord. The devil placed that sicko in that position to threaten our religion and I hope those victims get the help they need and understand that 99.999% of ppl are not like that.

She had realized what and why he hurt her. I was hurt because I taught my four girls as soon as they talked not to let anyone put their hands on them. I am still broken. I'm retired from 32-years with a large city police department. Anytime I see a guy who seeks situations that exposes him to children, I ask why? That's not fair to most people, but youth counselors, scoutmasters, grade schoolteachers, coaches, camp staff, etc. all get my scrutiny. The scrutiny is best performed by talking to the kids... they are not likely to come forward, but they make terrible liars. There's no need to even ask pointed or embarrassing question.

People get longer sentences for petty drug charges! Pedos need to be in prison for a long time

The pastor at my old church had an affair with a another church member and he confessed and apologized for his sin and continued to serve as a paster all these years, even spoke about love and loyalty the very next day😂

A youth choir director at a local Methodist church was prosecuted for molesting multiple young kids. He was sentenced to three years in prison. His loving wife promised to wait for him and reunite when he finished his sentence. Unbelievable. And they had two young children.

Typical suspect for a crime of this nature, keeping the stereotype alive. Nothing new under the sun...
