Teachers do stuff like this all the time. I come from a very small town or where many teachers are parents, aunts, uncles and family friends of the students. Out of my class of around 100 every time we went anywhere there was a group of 10-12 who got picked for everything every time. One day we went to the courthouse and the judges granddaughter had her name pulled out of a hat to play the judge. The entire jury was also made out of that group of kids and also supposedly had their name pulled out of the hat. Everyone else sat there for two hours while they played courtroom. I remember going home upset and complaining to my mom who was also a annoyed. When i asked why she was mad my big sister explained they cheated. When I asked how they cheated to draw the names, my sister told me they most likely just read whatever name they wanted after pulling it out of the hat. I was in the fourth grade and was already learning teachers can’t be trusted.

In my highschool dances served as a platform for the rich kids to shame us kids who didn't have the money to buy fancy dresses, and limousines. Now these ridiculous dances require over the top " promposals" as if girls are entitled to be asked in manner as special as wedding proposal. It's insanity. ( My parents did give me lots of love in highschool and that's what really matters. )

i think a lot of the negligence in the school system is because there isnt really anyone else more competent to hire for the job most of the time. i think they are desperate for employees and take what they can get. I personally have seen a lot of teachers quit mid year and then be replaced by a "permanent substitute" for the rest of the year, sometimes multiple years, who really only needs a highschool diploma to get the job im pretty sure. as long as you arent a felon or pedo you are good to go for the most part. they just need living bodies to babysit these kids.
