This has helped with the (almost constant) dull pain I've had in my right shoulder blade for several years. I also have numbness in that area when I touch it.
@@paulagrayson7684 you might have rotated pelvis, or Misaligned atlas. Pelvic tilt causes shorter shoulder. Look into it. Plus, if you have misaligned atlas go to atlas orthogonal or do physiotherapy. Let me know if it turns out to be Atlas misalignment
I believe i have this and its extremely painful. No one has been willimg to even assess it. They just look at me and tell me i dont have it. Thank you for taking the time to show this video
Same here I think I have this have to confirm with my doctor but they all keep saying "strained muscle" i got it from work and it hasn't gone away in 3 months yet my broken hand healed in 3 weeks lol
Same I’ve found this and other neural tension exercises to be a relief. After years of pain and countless doctors visits it’s wonderful to finally have something that works:) I use these and other nt exercises every day sometimes twice if I’m in a flare up and it’s made such a difference 😊
Make sure tell docs there is weakness if there is and burning. Nerve stuff is a different type of pain than muscular. It helps them understand, they are not mind readers. And sometimes MRI doesnt show it all. Some fine details hide for years until a CT picks it up. Even still sometimes takes a really seasoned Nuero surgeon or ortho to see stuff. I blame machines really. They dont always reflect whats going on. Its just a tool to help some. 😢❤ keep trying. You will get there eventually.
I keep pinching this nerve (I believe) due to how I sit on the couch occasionally plus new workouts I’ve been doing. I tried this today when the pain was bad enough for me to look up what the pain was and OMG this immediately provided some relief. I’m going to try three times daily for 6-8 weeks like recommended and I’m so excited!!!
Beth!!! You are my savior, as someone who has had a pinched dorsal scapular nerve for decades... Yes I know I don't want to hear it. Lol!! Let's just say it was misdiagnosed a few times and resulted in surgeries that I didn't need. 🤬🤬🤬These stretches are beautiful!!💗💗 I found several others but these seem to work THE BEST!!. Also anchoring the arms of the shoulder doesn't raise his key!! They don't put a lot of pressure on the nerve, but they sure as hell do work!! Thank you very much ma'am!!!
What were the surgeries you had mate? I’ve just had a disc replacement and I’ve still got the deep aching pain between my shoulder blades on one side 😢
It depends entirely on how your body responds to heat. It might be very helpful if the hot pack relaxes your tissues and helps you move with greater ease and comfort. If the hot pack feels like it is causing swelling or irritation, then don't use it.
I must have this b/c it helps!!! thank you what other neck stretches can I transform, instead of all the tugging and pain? Is the a twist one for range of motion?
There is some grinding going on with some of these movements. Shpuld I b concerned? Will that usually go away in time? Are there other movements I can do to reduce that grinding?
I’m debilitated bedridden suffering at the very end of my rope. Do you know any Dr it surgeon that tests and treats dorsal scapular nerve entrapment and does blocks, RFA's, or surgery for it? Pls I'm desperate. Thank u.
Kindly show me the excercises for spinal accessory nerve neuropathy. After biopsy of lymph node in the neck area ,I'm badly suffering from loss of muscle and stiffness.because of nerve damage ,even can't lift hand. Please tell me the solution for this . Thank you.

I've been noticing some really weird and alarming nerve issues in my shoulder blade area after abuse I experienced, and then the next day I did an improper pullup exercise. Not exactly sure what caused it or what the exact issue is, but getting it figured out by a doctor is taking awhile so I've been watching some of these videos for this area of my shoulder. It seems to be helping a bit. I'm making sure to do it more calmly until I can see my doctor finally.. It was really alarming earlier this month. I had my entire shoulder blade go completely numb on Easter and went to the ER because I didn't understand what was going on ):
The timing of the upload helps too. What happened to me was in November and I've been dealing with lower back issues for months that turned out to be muscular and are healing. The shoulder tingling and then numbness happened suddenly after some exercise. I felt a small pinching-like spot in my shoulder blade area in November and brushed it off as nothing because it felt so minor at first, then had numbness issues. It's a chronic issue I guess, but hope it's only minor and just goes away. I still feel a little numbness and really hope I recover those feelings and then can finally do normal exercise again
@@sigogglin I’m currently waiting to be seen by a specialist. I’ve found that ulnar nerve flosses seem to recreate symptoms, but the issue is more in my shoulder blade/shoulder area. I’ve been getting a better idea of where it is, but hope professional help can finally better help me
During the second exercise, part way through rotating down I suddenly can't move smoothly and there's a sort of painful "pop" as I continue to try to move. It doesn't happen if I tuck my elbow more inward and down. I've stopped doing the exercise because it's not supposed to hurt, but is there a clear reason why this might happen?
I can't say for sure without seeing your movements, but likely it is your shoulder blade that is not moving smoothly due to tightness in muscle and connective tissue or poor mechanics.
