Hi Teresa, I have an Ink Circles I stitch with one color silk as my travel project. It’s been all over the world for the US to Singapore as well as all over Europe. It will always remind me of the trips once I finish it and get it up on the wall. Greetings from Germany

This was a balm to my soul. Listening to your voice is so soothing and enjoyable. I completely understand how you feel about not getting enough stitching time. I'm going through the same thing right now, since my husband has recently changed jobs and is now remote working from home. He spends most of his time in the office, but all of my usual routines that I've created over the years with him working away from home 4/10s, now have to change. Making a hot lunch every day, breakfast with him, housework, and such, I'm not getting near as much stitching time now that he's home. I love not having him on the road, but my stitching isn't happening as much either. Thanks for helping me not feel alone in this situation! I guess on the frogging or unpicking, I usually call it frogging no matter how many stitches I have to remove...I did some frogging while stitching and listening to you.😉

I love the recorded videos. The combination of your stories and your voice being so calm and soothing (also the giggles from your stories) just make it the perfect atmosphere to stitch with! I am doing a Bella also, but it is Maria Makiling. The first fabic I ordered from one dyer was a nightmare. What I thought I ordered , and what was shipped to me looked completely different in a horrific way. 🫣I didn’t want a mustard/ Pepto Bismol pink for a background! So, I placed an order with a different dyer and received a beautiful fabric which was more in line with my vision, so we’re moving forward for the sal. Frogging/ unpicking to me means any stitch that has to be removed. Synonymous terms. Both mean ripit ribbit 🐸 😅 Plane project: I would probably take a Long Dog with the one color AND a small project in case you aren’t in the mood for one at a particular moment. I have this crazy habit of moving back n forth between projects. It’s probably because I have Shiny Bauble syndrome with the attention span of a squirrel, lol 😂

I love the recorded uTubes so very much more than the live ones. Showing my age the live ones remind me of “Miss Barbara” on tv when I was a kid when she took here mirror and talked into “ I see Susie and etc. etc.” In the recorded ones it is soothing and your older ones very educational, loved seeing your purchases. Thank you for sharing your time. Enjoy your vacation.

1) Your housework struggles are absolutely valid and I hear it. My clean tolerance is much lower than my husband's. While he helps where he can, he can live with tumbleweeds floating about while I see them before they start forming! Our compromise was that once we both started working out of the house again, we would get a cleaner to help with the deep cleans while we still did all the maintaining cleaning. Even if it's temporary, maybe consider a cleaner to help with the some of the cleaning like bathrooms, stairs, and dusting, while you tackle the floors and carpets upstairs on the weekend? 2) When I flew to Europe for holidays last year, I ended up taking 2 projects (and took both with me on my carryon). One project (with or without the tablet) with a single colour (like your LDS) for the long haul and a smaller project (paper chart might be more convenient with this one) that I could pick up and put down in a moment's notice while on the unpredictable downtimes whether at the airport on a "quick" layover or hotel while waiting for others to wake up and/or get ready. Hope all goes well with work and you get everything you want done before you go on holidays.

Teresa I have hard floors and have just swapped over to a machine that washes and vacuums at the same time - it’s a bisser machine - is brillaient and has halved the time it takes to clean the floors. I was dubious as we have a dog but it is brilliant!

When I travel I tend to take projects with few colours and a paper chart as they're easier to pack and switching colours on the plane is a bit of a pain. So I think I would opt for a Long Dog and a paper print out in my case. But I also always struggle to pick one project to take with me so I usually have two options to choose from in case if I get bored with one. Thank you for the chat, I was stitching on my Bella Filipina too! ❤

Getting Sunday dinner ready while listening to you. Like yourself, it seems that there are so many things beside work that need to be done before stitching. In regards to your questions, I don't call it frogging unless I have to remove the section with a scissors. On the plane, I would probably go with a WIP that has one color. Easier to keep track. Have a wonderful day!!

I really enjoyed your SWM recording Teresa...call me selfish, but it feels like it's just you and me chatting and stitching. I enjoy the lives, but with the comments exploding etc, there's very little time for you to stitch and we seem to get stuck on one topic. With your recordings we get to hear about life. Like a friend visiting. I dont do well when people are silent either...call me a chatty Cathy, lol. I did get a giggle out of that story. But im sure your new boss or supervisor adores you as we do ....whats not to love ❤. Whatever chart you take with you I think, you better take 2 and make one your Magwayen, because im afraid if you dont, you will be saying to yourself that you knew you should have brought her with you, and you will miss her. Your vacation sounds heavenly....hope you have a Great week and thank you so much for this SWM 🥰

Lovely Stitch with me..... I have to say, I don't miss the commute into London, but I also do miss it. I only ever travelled on the Tube, growing up and living in Leyton/Leytonstone/Walthamstow, but I used to read so many books that I now don't have time to! Housework.... can't you schedule your routine so that you do a bit less and rotate it? What happens on the weekends you're away for a retreat? The house won't implode if you schedule yourself one weekend a month where you go "nope, it's a ME weekend, and the housework will keep a week". I know it's tough with the dogs - muddy paws, shedding.... totally feel that situation - but you need some self care too and one weekend in 4 is good and the house won't care. ETA - Frogging - for me it's all unpicking whether you carefully unpick or use a stitch ripper. Although the new phrase I've seen, where you only have a very few stitches to frog, it's tadpoling!

Hey Teresa! Hope life is settling down a bit. I need the comfortable silence. I get antsy when people just keep going and going and going. Don't get me wrong, I love a good chat, I love listening to stories etc, however, I still need that peace. It counts as frogging - trust me - it's frogging.... I take my ipad on the flight with me. I have got ALL of my stitching on Markup RXP. Scanned to a pdf and on the ipad. My consideration is normally - what is the count like? Can I see if the lights not great? Lovely to catch up with you!

I just discovered a way to organise my full supply of DMC threads that is so much cheaper than buying the plastic thread falls like Annie's Keepers and that is plastic key tags.. they cost me less than $100.00 Canadian for 600 key tags and another $15.00 for 10 three inch hinged metal rings. The key tags have a clear slot with a plastic window with a piece of paper inside so that you can write the DMC number on it. They also have a split ring to hang them by and a hole at the base big enough to thread the floss through like the thread falls. I really love the Annie's Keepers but really couldn't afford them so I found this alternative excellent. I was using the plastic sheets with the holes in them but if you wanted to separate the threads for a project it made it a pain, this way it's like the Annie's Keepers and you can separate the threads on the tags you need and once your project is done you can return them to the other threads. I had remembered you had come up with an alternative Teresa but couldn't remember what you had said a while back.

Wow trying to do housework while being so sick is difficult. My husband doesn’t even know how to use a vacuum cleaner or a dust rag. He has no idea where things belong in the kitchen. He can barely get the laundry started and we have been married for 24 years now. He is great at watching me work my butt off and always getting in my way. He is great at pointing out what I missed to clean up and when I am so sick he is the first to ask what is for dinner but he has never cooked dinner. I do love my babies which is a tabby cat and a dachshund dog that I absolutely love. I don’t find much time to stitch unless it is late in the evening.

Teresa, a delight as always. I like your stitch with me videos because it is easier to hear you :) and you feel more successful. I love the stories for sure. Don't worry about the need to be comfortable with silence. Your boss will adjust :) I love that you are chatty. I consider any taking out of stitches frogging . I would hate to discover after I finished a thread I had to go back :) as far as the plane trip, I think taking a Long Dog is a great idea, but would tuck another small project in with colors just for variety in case you tire of the one color. It could easily be something small so it wouldn't take up much extra room :) I would love to go to retreats but am seriously disabled so not possible. But I think spending time with other stitches would be great fun. Enjoy your week.

Recorded videos are much easier to follow when I am stitching and listening, as I don’t have to try and follow the chat (even after its over its hard to follow hahah) I have a theory on the husbands being “a distraction” when you are home together because my husband is the same, if he’s sitting and enjoying a tv show or a nice pie, then why do I want to be the one running around like a blue arsed fly cleaning and doing all the grunt work. When mine was away just before Christmas I got absolute heaps done, no distractions!! Also don’t feel bad if you dont get to the gym - if you are doing two hours of housework and walking the doggos then you are getting some exercise in even if its not toning the abs for the bikini. I used to find walking my dog so good for my mental health, miss that mental pooch - take care, Nic x

I watch every video you record... wouldn't miss a moment... I have this thing where I do what I want, when I want, if I wait for the perfect time to do anything, I will never get anything done!❤️❤️❤️ The word unpick makes no sense to me... to remove your stitches would be to pick out your stitches... unless, of course, you call what you are doing picking, but we don't, were stitching... one of those annoyances for me to hear someone say unpicking stitches.

He likes for me to enjoy my time but I feel guilty. Even when he is up doing different things and working on his projects. He said he cant imagine why I feel that way and that I really shouldnt. He says enjoy yourself! He's not noisy at all but I have a hard time relaxing unless he is watching tv in his recliner and takes a nap. Then I dont feel guilty. For me frogging is for Knitting, I did not think to use this expression for stitching.

No!! I think he should help. Your work is 24 hours. Do not feel guilty for having expectations that your partner show up and partner up! I have one just like yours. 20 years and he is still a child and needs his bottom powdered. ,😅 Ask for help! And don't feel bad if you cannot service his needs when he cannot support your needs for him to do everything correctly so you do not have to go behind him and do it right. A real man is a warrior, a partner, protector, and a leader to his family. He should not get to stop his daily grind until you do. IMHO. I guess your stitching is therapeutic.

I get you when you say men are noisy. I thought it was just me. My husband had to be making noises even when he’s sitting and watching TV. I always comment about how he’s constantly thinking out loud. Is it a guy thing? I could entertain myself all day and not say a word😂😂😂.

Unpicking = reverse stitching!! Frogging = needing to rip out threads because they can’t be unpicked!!
