Summer definitely flew by and I am just now getting to sit down and catch up on some flosstube videos! Glad you and your husband got to go out and celebrate your birthdays and enjoy the day together, even if it wasn't exactly what you had planned! Cousin camp sounds amazing, so sorry that Penelope was sick! Have a Cup of Cheer is beatiful! I love the Holly Hobbie project bag! And how sweet of your friend to send you the extra fabric. I had a Holly Hobbie birthday cake when I was very little! I didn't realize that she was a real person either! Love the little ornaments for your grandkids! They will always treasure those! My Grandma didn't make ours but bought them from friends who crafted each year and they are still among some of my very favorite ornaments! Hope Graham's surgery went well! I love those flowers in Martha Walmsley, they are beautiful! The baby quilt is so beautiful as well! And congratulations on knitting your sock, I never got farther than knitting a scarf! I have always only stitched on aida so just a couple of weeks ago I made it to my LNS and bought my first piece of evenweave and a small chart! I have done a whole three stitches on it and had to put it down for a little bit lol!

It was great to get to see you at Stitch Florida and get to know you a little better. You have some beautiful projects and I enjoyed seeing your haul and all the goodies you received. I was amazed at the generosity of my tablemates and stitchers that just dropped by to gift us. I had never heard of Colonial needles so I will have to check them out. Great finds from Kitten Stitcher! I'm hoping we can do Cousin Camp when ours get a little older. I think they would be so fun and would love the cousins to really know each other. Hi Holly, this is the first of your floss tubes that I have watched, and I've really enjoyed it. it's f Currently I'm working on a cute small pillow called "Coffee First" it's for one of my daughters and you can't even talk to her before her coffee. I think that she'll love it. I have one suggestion, and I really hope you don't mind, but when you hold up some of your projects, please give me a little bit more time to look at them. I enjoyed it so much. I especially liked the speed dating…I met lovely ladies and especially liked speaking with a gal from Germany and another from Canada and a gal from Austria I think it was! I love watching your videos. When I watch I feel like I am sitting in your stitching room with you and you are talking to me a your guest. If you do travel alot I'd suggest investing in a foldie bag it fits a lot of items and it's TSA approved and it's made to fit under your sit on the airplane
Oh my I have enjoyed your videos so much. I have never heard of anyone else doing a camp for their grandchildren. My husband and I have been doing Grandparents camp for the last 5 years for our 3 grands. And we love it! So do the grands. It lasts anywhere from 1-2 weeks depending on the schedule. Last week our 13 year old grandson told us that he wished they could stay for 3-4 more weeks. I felt so honored to hear him say that. Thank you for taking the time to share your creativity with us. Oh I’m gonna need to know more! How old are your grands? What all do you do for that long? Ours are still little so that kind of zap this Gigi’s energy for more than a few days 🤪
@@hobbiesofholly we have 3 grands 1 boy 11 yr old that lives close to us and a 13 yr old boy and 11 yr old girl that are brother and sister that live on the east coast. We don’t do anything fancy but we go to eat at favorite restaurants for a few lunches, go to a movie , hit the swimming pool by our house, go out for donuts one morning, fix favorite meals and snacks. They have a camp out in our sunroom the whole time and get to watch a movie every night when they go to bed. We go to the school field at the top of our street. When the boys are doing more sporting activities the granddaughter and I do some crafty things. I get or decorate a new water bottle for them for the last few years and put approved water flavors on the counter that they could reach to encourage lots of water drinking. A few years ago I started putting some snacks in the fridge they could help themselves to whenever they were hungry like fresh fruit, yogurts, or granola bars. If I tell them they can have 2 yogurts per day but they choose when they have them they think they are big kids😂 we spend a lot of time just hanging out and having fun. And yes this Mum Mum is exhausted with many loads of laundry to do when everyone leaves but when I look at the relationships they are building together I know it is all worth it. @@hobbiesofholly I’m a big fan of indie dyed yarn. I’m not a big box yarn shopper at all. There are fabulous dyers in my state, look for dyers in Ohio. Or better, go to a fiber festival, we talk about the cross stitch community, there’s an equally fabulous knitting community.
Prayers for your Grandson. When I went to Stitch Con my husband and I visited the Pompeii exhibition and the William Taft boyhood home. They were both great. We also visited the Underground Railroad Museum and learned so much. Thanks Janine

Hi! The PUB Crawl is a dark fabric so it does take good light for me to stitch on. I was wishing it was Aida as I was frogging from trying to stitch in poor lighting this week but I do love it and it’s worth the fuss for me
