I’ve been using the Edmar needles for a while now and really like them. I was a Pat Carson needle user too. After she died, for a while it looked as though they were going to be continued, but evidently some component needed in their manufacturing couldn’t be obtained anymore. My maternal relatives spoke Italian but that wasn’t continued in the family either. Back then people wanted to assimilate and speak English. There wasn’t as much emphasis on ancestry, I guess. Your quilt is darling! I’ve picked out a couple of Blackbird small patterns that have blue birds in them. I think I’ll stitch them after I finish The Winter is Past as I think they would look good together as an arrangement, plus they use the same threads so I don’t have to waste time putting threads away and then kitting up in the future.
I enjoyed hearing about your great grandmother. Life happens, you will mail the items when you can. I will look at the needles you showed because I am having issues with John James fraying my thread.
I’ve got the In Friendship’s way book, too, I think I’ve stitched something from it but I’d have to check. That’s a fascinating story about your great grandmother and I don’t blame you, I’d be a lil pissed about the loss of the language in your generation. 😢Live and hugs!!!!
