How fun to hear you talk about the Stitchery Nook. I live in Osage and agree wholehearted with you. I LOVE your project/pattern that you left to display. It is amazing!!! The framing is perfect.
Oh that place sounds like stitching heaven!!!! I don't have any stores that I can go in a touch floss and see everything in the flesh - you luck girly!!! Oh wow your works in the shop - how cool is that!!!
lovely to see you as always. the weather even here in Australia is being weird to, my dad said many years ago, that our seasons will shift, I just thought he was being a crazy old man, but now I think he was on to something, hope your son is OK, I know you said he was physically, but mentally, accidents can be pretty scary, and hope your horse gets better soon. happy stitching.
Your dad sure was on to something! My boy is ok, he had a couple shaky days after but all is well, and Sierra continues to heal. Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Hi Kate, I loved hearing about your retreat and the store, both sound amazing. How cool that the store will display your model. I think you could have successful career as Cross stitch designer if you want it.
Hi Kate Lovely video and update. Lucky you going to the retreat shop = I bet you were like a little girl in a candy shop with all the pretties around you. Your stitching showing in the shop - how fantastic!!!!Take care hunHugsAmanda in the UKxxx
I'm glad your son is okay - hopefully your truck isn't too bad. Hope is beautiful and I love your warrior start - can't wait to see more. Thanks for sharing.
I love your calm tone during your videos. It helped - this has been a stressful week! Enjoyed hearing about the retreat. We have no LNSs near me so I wait to go back to visit family in IL to visit one.
What an exciting event- to go to a stitchy retreat... Dying fabric can be so much fun if it turns out great (otherwise you get an extra time with it)..
So glad to see you back! Hope is gorgeaus and well, I am with you totally about visiting a LNS... I went twice to A stitching shop in Denver (awesome shop btw) and i could barely buy anything as there was so much I had never seen before!!!
First, I want to say how pretty you look!! Second, I hope your son is doing well. And then, I'm right there with you about staying away from social media the last couple of weeks! And for the same reasons! Don't want to be a witness to it all. Can't wait to see the progress on Proud & Noble. He will be magnificient. Get some rest & stitchy time!!
You should be a story teller, love! ;-) Enjoyed your description of the LNS, very cool. You're doing amazing things with the fabrics you've been dying - it's like magic ;-) If you ever feel like it, I'd love to see how you do it.
There are videos on you-tube, which is where I learned :) . Just search "Ice dying fabric" or ":Ice dyeing cross stitch fabric" and it shows every step. Super easy to do :) Thank you for watching Meike!
When you said the work "retreat" my ears perked up. I loved hearing your experience. I'm sorry you could only spend the one day - but it sounds like you had an amazing time!!! I have just signed up for a retreat at the end of March in Indiana. I didn't think about it I just signed up. I know I will have an amazing time but you confirmed my decision! Your piece Hope is just beautiful. You are an amazing artist! Looking forward to your next video!
Hi Kate - it is not the Mirabilia retreat. It is the one where Vonna is teaching a couple of classes. I think it is her LNS retreat in Indiana. Have a good weekend!
Hope your day calms down just a bit so you can get some stitching time in and relax a bit. What an honor to have your design on display!!! So happy for you and proud of your success.
Hi Kate!! Glad to see you again. Stitchery Nook sounds like a pretty awesome place. I ordered Hope and one day plan to start it for my mother. Your First Nations piece is going to be stunning on that piece of fabric. I hate the Aida that comes in Dimensions kits. I got a piece of Aida from 123 stitch. It is hand dyed and super, super soft. Maybe the dying process takes the stiffness away. Happy stitching!!
I Heart Cross Stitch I enjoyed listening to your catch up, you sound very busy...hope Sierra is on the mend and you find a few more moments of quiet time for yourself. That sewing shop sounds amazing! Di xx
Thank you Andrea for helping the First Nations People, blessings to you for that! I tried washing this aida and nada, it still sucked, but it might work for ornaments or something... Thanks for watching
I am just so happy you got to go to the retreat for a little while. I hope you get to spend a night at one soon and stitch for a whole day with like minded friends.
