I just love the chart you are stitching of all the books. I've seen Handwork Maniac stitching it also. The shading is so pretty on the books. The mason kit is lovely.

You have so many beautiful pieces. I still haven't made the plunge into a heaven and earth design full coverage. But there are a couple of pieces I've been eyeing for a while. I just don't know about full coverage yet. Anyway, that piece of linen is beautiful and I've seen several people doing the mason jar piece as well. Both are very pretty. I just started stitching on linen. I usually bought kits and Aida always came with it. Your projects are HUGE. I think I would give up. I’m working on a dimension Christmas stocking right now that is full coverage and it is taking me forever. I started it for my grandson when he was born and he is 1 1/2. Some day….

I’m enjoying watching your progress on your full coverage pieces. How do you like working on Lugana compared to Aida and easy count fabric? For me it depends on the final size of the piece I’m working on. So it can be whatever fabric I want, especially on a full coverage. So I guess what makes you decide on which fabric choice? And full cross or half/tent stitch or a combo of the 2? Like background half/tent stitch the rest full cross. I like linen for some things but necessary for all. I saw another flosstuber stitch some of the mason jar line up. She divided up the jars into smaller pieces. It was very interesting way to stitch it. Happy Stitching. 🧵🪡

It took me a while to find my groove but I think a lot of my fabric choice is based on finished size too. For the most part, I feel like I gravitate toward 25 or 28 count tent stitch for full coverage pieces and 18 count with 2x1 full cross for samplers and non full coverage. But I know sometimes the finished size will be what ultimately decides the fabric count for me as a first consideration. I don’t really have a preference of Aida versus Lugana. There’s some really gorgeous linens out there but for some reason, my eyes have a harder time with linen so I don’t tend to use it. Great questions! Thanks for asking.
