What an amazing parade! So many gorgeous patterns and projects! I’ve added quite a few to my wish list that is already massive. Thank you so much for the very kind shout out on my blessing sampler - you absolutely made my day. Your stitching is beautiful so I consider it very high praise. Hugs and blessings on your coming week!
Enjoyed watching your WIP parade, Kim. So many beautiful projects. My favorites are the Reflets de Soie…they are stunning samplers. Looking forward to what you will get finished this year. Thanks for the Scriptures, Alan. Happy New Year!
Kim, I immediately went and subscribed to Sandi’s flosstube. Thank you for always smiling and always sharing your faith, in your stitching and along with your husband. You inspire me greatly 💕
This was an absolutely yummy video. I loved seeing your finishes and you WIP's. You are such a prolific stitcher! I am always so happy to see your video pop up in my feed. I really need to make one of those cute stitchy boxes. I can't wait to see what you do with yours. IHappy stitching. Best, K
I'm always so inspired by your videos.. I struggle with my internal voice when it tries to tell me that I have to stitch an entire piece or none of it, and you remind me that it's perfectly fine to stitch the parts I love and not the rest. As a fellow bird lover, I especially enjoy seeing your bird stitches. Happy New Year! 🪡👠
So fun, what a lovely Show and Tell! Several will be going on my wish list for sure! Excited to stitch birds with you! Thank you for keeping me company while I stitch. Also, I always enjoy the Scripture at the end 💞 and throughout your videos. His Word is a lamp and light, sharpening and comforting and so much more. Love it!
I absolutely loved this WIP parade Kim! Thank you so much for putting it together!! As always, super inspiring. Sending big hugs and hoping 2024 brings you excitement and joy! 💚
So many great finishes and ideas!!! I’m most excited about Susan Eccles as I have the chart but not stitched her yet and my son just married a woman with a 3 year old named Lily and I may shamelessly copy yours as it is just perfect!!! ❤
Happy New Year Kim! ☀️ LOVE your fabric choice for my Nativity Band Sampler! It’s just gorgeous and I can’t wait to see your progress on it! Your stitching is always so beautiful and inspiring!!♥️🥰
Good Job Hubby!! I'm afraid to count my WIPS. Nice fabric project sleeves. Hmmm, I might try to pin your way. Looking good on Eucalyptus. I missed Sandi's zoom, bet it was fun. Very Nice "Houses". Agree, some people lose the Joy of stitching by not stitching what they want, rushing their work, ... It is nice to use 1 color as far as I can, and at times I count & count & recount! And I use counting pins. Then I bring in other colors to have good reference points. Fun Parade, nice designs & fabrics and that you use a variety of floss types. AZ again, enjoy!!
Friend, you are amazing to watch! I get tired just watching you with all of your WIPS. I think I have a lot with 15. I love how you can remember all the information about each one, and then just say I think I will just change that to pink, yes that will work. I am scared to make any changes. I want to be like you when I grow up. ( stitching at the barn)
Enjoyed seeing all your stitching and hearing your plans. I am not doing birds per se for 2024, but I am doing all Blackbirds Designs for the 24 starts. Planning on one larger piece each month and the stockings from the booklets for each month. I started Winter Wonderland for my larger piece and have finished two of the stockings from By the Chimney with Care. Good luck in your quest to finish several of your pieces and get the others started. Look forward to your progress.
Amazing and beautiful collection of finishes and wips!!! The verses are beautiful and oh so true. We are witnessing lives that are perverted and devastating due to walking away, dismissing and denying our Lord. Godless leaders promote this. God bless for telling the truth. We must always be courageous and tell the truth.
So fun to see all the things we've stitched the same last year, the things we will be stitching the same this year, and the things that I want to stitch in the future that you are stitching!!!! Here's to a 2024 filled with friends and stitching!
I love seeing all your projects! And I think you do an amazing job remembering all the designers, pattern names, and fabrics!! I wouldn’t do half as well.
Your finished items are all just stunning! I stitched 30 years ago and just decided that I would like to pick it up again so I of course started watching RU-vid. I just found you and this is the first of your videos that I have watched. I'm just inspired. Wishing you beautiful blessings for the new year. Karen St Clair
What a gem of a video to have in my feed. I could watch ten times and just drool over all these projects wow 😍😍😍 thank you for sharing Kim and have a great weekend!
Hello friend 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 so fun to see all the works in progress. You surprised me with some I am hadn’t seen before . La Maison is really beautiful !! Hmmm 🤔 have a wonderful time this week! Thanks to Alan today for scripture.
I really like your choices for the coming year, and your other WIPS. You've inspired me to includes some more birds in this year's Rota. I need to finish last year's challenge of a few houses which grew into a town and includes a scripture quote. It's more than half done so there's a hope for a finish in 2024. love the shared Scriptures and wish you both a very Happy New Year!
Amazing amazing amazing. Love it all! I should pull out Margaret Hull and stitch with you! Your stitching is phenomenal Kim- thank you so much for sharing it all with us. I can see me watching this more than once!
I’m just getting back into cross stitching after many years. Such pretty patterns and new terminology new learn.😊. Love your projects! I’ll be searching those designers.
@@ContentedNeedleworkerKim I completely understand! I changed the colors because I wasn’t liking them either. It’s making it hard to stitch because I have to think more about where I’m putting each color. (((Hug)))
Kim this is for your hubby While he was innPsalm 119 he may have over looked it, but I wanted to share it, it’s a favorite of mine, Psalm 119:11 THY WORD LORD, HAVE I HID IN MY HEART, that I may not sin against thee, but embrace the truths you give through your word … that I ponder upon it daily, As the apostle Paul says that we are to set our minds upon Him, our Lord & pray without ceasing , my goal is to become a sponge in His word…. Blessings… Kim’s Hubby
I love your stitching this year, especially when you removed the alphabets. I'm not a fan of everything being samplers and I love how you just did portions.
First time watching. And as I watched and saw all the scripture I thought ah yes the reason of your contentedness. Is that a word? lol loved the video!
Hi Kim! It’s even more fun watching your episodes after meeting you at Jingle Ball during speed dating. I wrote down five samplers you’re working on to look for but they’ll have to go on the wish list instead of cart for awhile. Thanks for sharing not just your pieces but all the design thoughts you have for them. Happy New Year. Kathleen
You have completely changed my way of looking at patterns and opened up a whole new world to me. Thank you so much!!! I am interested in purchasing some Seraphim fabric and know you mentioned your favorites. Would you mind telling me?
Hi Sue! I have several favorites, but the struggle is real…the colors of hand dyed linen can vary greatly! I buy my linen in person on my trips to the Attic. Sometimes a favorite color is not pink or brown in that dye lot but more green! I know this isn’t helpful, but I don’t want you to be disappointed.
Thanks so much for your reply, Kim. I totally understand about dyelots but do not have an LNS so no choice but to buy online and 🤞. I have Antique lace in my cart but have gone through the entire transcript of this video three times and can’t find the second one you mentioned as being a great neutral. Do you remember which one you said?
I'm going to be stitching Mary Hill too! I'm just waiting for my fabric and floss...my first BIG piece!! I'm a little intimadated! But I love it, so I'm going to do my best 🙂 Do you have a favorite DMC pink? I'd love to stitch Mrs. Flossy's sampler in pink. Thanks for sharing all of your stitching goodness!
Oh yay! No, I don’t have a favorite pink that comes to mind. I think I would do a floss toss and see what looks best. I do love b.a.blessing choice of the Red Pear!
Kim. A favor please. What fabric did you use for Izzy’s birds - the scarlet letter. It looks like calls for Ballet Slipper but it looks darker than what you used. Just beautiful as is all of your work. I too love birds. Love the scripture. Thanks in advance
Hi Nancy! I don’t remember the called for on Eleanor Parr, but I used Thornfield by Needle and Flax. Any warm cream/neutral with or even without slight mottling (not a lot shows) would work!
Hello from Minnesota, Kim!! Thanks for the amazing FlossTube! So many beautiful things as usual. Question for you...what needles do you use for stitching on 46ct. and higher??
Hi Shelly! I don’t go higher than 46, and I still use my 28 for that. Nicola from HATS just mentioned the John James size 10 and 12 short beading tapestry point needles for the thinner threads and the higher counts. I have them, but I stay away from 56 for now 🤣
Such an amazing set of projects! I have signed up for super owl also…another zoom together opportunity. May I ask…when a project is finished, do you snip off your cotton and then reuse on a different project?
