I just found your channel and all your stitching is beautiful. It was an inspiration for me, so thank you. I cross stitched my way through the 80’s and then began to incorporate knitting into my free time. I am finding my way back to the cross stitch that I love. I admire that you do not let large projects intimidate you. So, thank you for the inspiration and sharing your exceptional work . Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you. I learnt to stitch in the 80's and have kept doing it ever since. The range of stitching choices now is so wonderful, something for everyone. I love working on the large projects - it's amazing to me what a piece of fabric, needle and thread can accomplish. seeing it come together is wonderful. happy stitching Nerissa
Nerissa! You continue to amaze me with all of the stitching you accomplish in a month. You are definitely my hero! Your plans for August and September are lofty, but I am sure that you will stay on track. Thank you for taking the time to come and show us your progress. PS. The samplers you stitched for your boys are remarkable and Perfect!😊
Thank you Jeana . I enjoy stitching, it keeps me company when not at work. My lofty goals help to get me going on all of my stitching, it works well for me.
Hi Nerissa. I loved all of your stitching but especially your finished Consider the Lillies. So gorgeous! I just started His Eye is on the Sparrow with plans to do Lillies next----probably in a few years😂 You've inspired me to start a few samplers over August/September. I don't have as many as you to pick from as I've only been stitching for just about 1 year but I have a couple that I could start. Thanks for another great flosstube! Happy Stitching:)
Thank you. You will enjoy stitching his eye is on the sparrow and consider the lilies. I am looking forward to starting all of my new starts and do hope you will join in. Nerissa
I love that you use DMC primarily as the colors are so rich . Thank you for sharing your wonderful pieces..really enjoyed watching today, my first video.. now subscribed..
Thank you so much! I love stitching with Dmc. It is assessable for everyone and makes the projects more affordable. I love the colour choices and finish when I use Dmc. Thank you for subscribing. happy stitching Nerissa
Absolutely gorgeous finishes that you have. Some big girls in there. Love the pear. There's a common thread, hands across the sea is a regular attendee of your videos. Your walls are stunning. Love the elegant lady in pink you showed us. Oh look, the dutch sampler. Not sure if I'm game enough to start it just yet Thank you for sharing and Happy stitching to you.
Thank you. I am pleased with my finishes. So glad to of made more room to stitch some newer projects. Hands Across The Sea Samplers is my favourite designer. I am starting the Dutch Sampler on the second week in August if you want to join in, she is one big sampler. I have liked her for years and finally purchased her just before the world went into lockdown. So it is about time she was started. Happy stitching to you.
@@nerissasstitchinglifestyle I was lucky enough to purchase her via an estate sale. Sad the reason why. But I'm sure she'll be happy knowing it's gone to a fellow stitcher.
@@nerissasstitchinglifestyle that is so true, but I am in awe of people who can stitch on the finer count linen. We have to be happy in our hobby and I sure am. I also have stopped using a hoop. I never used to when I started many years ago, then for some reason I started using a hoop. A few months ago I was stitching away and suddenly realized I wasn’t using the hoop. Yay, I love not using one.. you are amazing the amount of stitching you get through and you go out to work too.
Just found you scrolling you tube and so happy I did. Your work is beautiful and your ambitions inspiring ❤. Looking forward to your progress reports on August and Sept sampler starts .
NERISSA!!!! Do a SAL with me for the Dutch Sampler! I have it just started now. I also have "GH 1857", "Let Love Reign", and Hannah Campbell kitted as well. LOL. I also have Sarah Braizear kitted as well in the Vicki Clayton silks and I'm vacillating between starting in on 56 count like you (I've already tea-dyed a fabric) and a 47 count Legacy linen. Thanks for sharing your beautiful stitching! XOXO Heidi
Thank you Heidi. I will happily do a sal with you for the Dutch sampler. It will be my second start in August. -week 2. I am enjoying stitching Sarah Braizear on 56 count , she will look beautiful on either of your fabric choices. Nerissa
You're stitching is absolutely gorgeous! I love all the projects you have planned, they are so pretty. I look forward to seeing your starts and progress!
Your stitching is truly amazing, so inspiring! Your project selection is similar to mine, however you are far more productive! Love seeing your work and hearing about what is next in August and September. Well done!
Thanks for letting me sit and stitch with you on Sunday, was a real treat to see your work in person and to get to know you a little better 😊 Boy you have some big plans with those big girls! I loved the work you had done on the lilies piece, so pretty! - Nic x
Thank you Nic. I lovely to catch up in person on Sunday. I have been waiting to start some of the big girls for a while. I am looking forward to getting them started . Nerissa
Just watching your sampler wall grow. Lovely work! I really like the schoolhouse lessons you made into little pillows. Thanks for sharing your works and I enjoyed the visit.
I love your Summer Schoolhouse pillows and the backing fabric works so well with them. You seem to get so much stitching done ! I love how the alphabet goes over the 4 patterns making them linked. Is the strawberry and the 'board one' part of the set of 4 patterns? Look forward to seeing them on your forthcoming flosstubes.
Congratulations again on all your lovely finishes Nerissa! It was a beautiful feast seeing them all, especially love the Schoolhouse Lessons in the shaker box! As for Sampler September, I have been eyeing up And they Sinned for many years, but could never find it. Could I ask where you got yours from? Would love to join you on that one, and definitely going to pick a Midsummer Nights Design chart from stash too.
Awesome episode. So much beautiful stitching! I am almost finished And They Sinned, stitching the endless grass at present. I have Dutch Beauty and GH 1857 kitted up also. I'm trying not to purchase any more samplers as I have far too much stash - but there are a couple of old Scarlet Letter that need to come live with me first. Then I'll be content (yeah right 🤣🤣).
Thank you. And they sinned and Dutch sampler have been in my stash for a long time. I keep picking the newly released samplers instead of picking from my extensive stash. I am trying to balance my stitching out a little more . Nerissa
