I have been cross stitching for many years and it never occurred to me to do half stitches and then a full stitch on the tenth cross. Just proves that you are never too old to learn a new trick.

Great video and beautiful finishes. 123 Stitch has the Nora Corbett Red Poppy pattern and it is on sale right now but I am not sure that it is the exact one you are looking for so hope it is the correct one. Hi. I love all your 3 Nora Corbett finished pieces. You have me thinking that I would like to try stitching one. Violet is my favourite. Bluebell will will gorgeous too! Since you have been venturing out into different types of stitching, I think I should too! Thanks for the tip also about doing the first 10 stitches in half stitches, then finish the 2nd cross stitches, then count and do the next 10 stitches. Enjoy your stitching in the week ahead! I have some 40 count fabric, I bought the pattern (it is traveling to me now) and I will find the DMC. I will be starting Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow soon!

I have been cross stitching for forever. The first time read about that counting method of stitching 9 complete the cross on 10, I thought the same “Oh duh!” How simple!

The Virginia stitcher mention that about counting 9 in tent stitch and the 10th is a full cross on her last flosstube and I was like wow! That is such a good idea ! Jajaj I was going to mention on my flosstube but I forgot ! 🤪ups 😅
I still have Tiger Lily sitting in my stash. I wanted to do it because I live in Saskatchewan and I love the Tiaga lilies that grow in the forest (and its the provincial flower) I never knew it was rare... HOW do you finish a pattern and not wreck the paper pattern???
@@HyggeStitcher She's on my list... i am a monogamous stitcher though and I'm trying to expand and start rotating. Right now I am 66% done on Pandemic by Longdog so if I can't get out of being monogamous it might be another YEAR before I can get anything else done. I also have Grandmother Fairy from Lavendar and Lace and Princess Eliana from Mirabilia kitted up and waiting in the wings.

Hi Samantha! So good to see you made another video. I love Nora/Mirabilia, and I've also made a good start on Emerald City and a much tinier start on Wonderland from Owl Forest. I got the full kit for Emerald City, but just the flosses and an Alice needle minder for Wonderland--stitching that on a very pale pink Lugana. Can't wait to see your big Miras!!
