Can life get any more exciting than opening a new cross stitch kit? Opening an amazing new 14 count kit by Riolis. I'll tell you how I feel about this design, why I chose it, plus look at the flosses (threads) and instructions.

Single lined cross is one strand, double lined cross is 2 strands, second row is the colour number and the third row confirms the number of strands and if you need to blend it tells you how many strands of each to blend. Lovely kit.

This is a gorgeous kit!! I have looked at it many times and one day I will stitch it! It will be fun to watch your progress!🤗 Blue is also my favorite color so stitching this would be restful for me. The wool/acrylic floss is great to work with in my opinion and the floss organizers work well for me. I am currently working on Riolis Scottish Door and really have enjoyed it so far.

I do love the Van Gogh pattern and want to remember it. Beautiful! I am working on Purple Alium by Riolis, not a full coverage but still one I had to study a bit. I do like the soft acrylic wool threads, but they are really different from DMC. It's my first project with blending stitches, so that is another idea to think about.

Georgous-a is symbol, b is full cross (with one or two strands depending on x), c is color number, and d is strandsbof each wool- hope that helps

I managed to get to the video finally 😊. It's always the way that when you open up a new kit you want to get started! Maybe it'll spur me on to finish one ! How's your stitching day going? x

I am sure you figured this out... but that cross that you were so confused by *was* a single threaded cross, the one you pointed at as being an example of another single-threaded cross had a two in number of threads :p There's also a description of what each row means in your instructions. Happy stitching! Kat

Congratulations on the new kit! A good choice I love Riolis too.👍👍👍. Acrylic threads make the design look vivid and more structured. I recommend you to use Adobe Acrobat (pdf) because the pattern is too bright for the eyes.

It’s a stunning design, it’s been on my list on HAED for a while but yet to purchase. Tlc Stitches is stitching this pattern but I don’t think it’s the Riolis kit 🤔 if you want to see how hers is coming along she does have a FT channel. How’s the Sad Fairy piece coming along? Happy Stitching!
