Wow to the finishes ( frames are awesome by the way) and wow, wow to those new starts. They do have a lot in them but I think it’s going to be part of the fun. Also who doesn’t need a camel or two on a Sunday afternoon 🤣🤣🤣. You have certainly got your stitching groove back into action. Loved it all can’t wait to see what happens but mighty acorns has really struck a cord with me. Another Rachel you have enabled 😁
Thank you 😊 yes start Mighty Acorns , although I feel it’s the name Rachel that is susceptible to being enabled not my persuasion techniques 😂😂 I am just going to take the baps slowly and if I can’t do the speciality stitches I will just go them as x’s
Be assured your smugness emanated from the screen right into my room. And deservedly so. Your finishes are fabulous. I especially love how you finished them in the silver frames from the Range with your own tweaks. Genius. So grea5 to hear you had a good time at the retreat and got fully swept up in getting carried away with other stitchers. That’s what it’s all about😉
Thank you 😊 I am always surprised when I go to the range , they have done good stuff ! Next yr I am going for all 3 days of the retreat - I am not sure my bank balance will cope !
Your finishes look amazing!!! Love the frames!! In the Maria Jenuaria sampler the lady on a chair represents love or being in love, she has a key on her hand, on some of our embroidery "art" (I am Portuguese) represents that she has the key of someone heart or she is giving to someone the key of her heart. You were right😃😃😃. Can't wait to see what you start😉😊. Take care
Well done on all your finishes Kirsty, they are fantastic 👏👏 Your new samplers look great.. and I too will hopefully be starting Mighty Acorn in May, so I will be looking to see your progress on that 😊
Thank you 😊 pleased to hear you too will be starting Mighty Acorns, I think there could be a few of us. Although I don’t know what the hashtag is yet 🤨
Hi Kirsty! I have been chuckling along with your video for the last half hour so thought I'd drop a note to say hello. You definitely were the smuggest stitcher, but you deserve it for all six of your finishes and big, big plans! Today I'm stitching a small called "Blooming Spring Pinwheel" by Subrosa Designs, hoping to finish by end of May for my son's teacher. When you said, "Love you and leave you" I knew I had to put my stitching down to comment, because I thought, "That's just what a hooker would say." ;)
😂😂😂😂😱😂😂😂 I just hadn’t thought about it like that . You are very good stitching a piece for a teacher, I just used to go down the lazy route of buying them a bottle of wine. I had a friend who was a headmistress of a very smart school in London, the presents she used to receive 🙃
Fabulous finishes!! Can’t wait to see your progress on those new samplers - they look epic!! Glad you had a good time at the retreat. I’ve enquired for next year - but as I’d probably only go for the day, I don’t think it’s likely!
A lovely video and great finishes! Love the apple cushion and of course Sleepy Hollow 😜 If you get a minute, there’s a pinned thread in my group for pics of FFOs on my fabrics - please post a pic up and a money off voucher might end up winging its way to you. Happy stitching x
Oh thank you so much for the lovely shout out! I appreciate it so much! Your finishes are great, I especially love that apple. And I so hope you do start the Mighty Acorn with us! Your new charts and plans are incredible, looking forward to watching your progress on them.
Wow no wonder you are feeling smug with all those lovely finishes 😍 sleepy hollow looks amazing in that frame and I really like the apple, though they are all gorgeous. I must go to the Range, not been for ages, but a frame like that might well suit my welsh long dog. Looking forward to our massive starts, I was tempted with mighty acorns as well as I have that chart 🤦♀️ it would be good if you, pen and Janette can do the next zoom as I think it’s when we are starting Morris dancer!! Though chatting and that stitching probably are not a good idea 😂😂😂 speak soon 🧵🧵🪡🪡
Thank you 😊 I rarely go to the range but when j do I always think I should come here more! I am still on the fence about Mighty Acorn although I will no doubt start it 🙄 definitely hope to make the next zoom 😁
Fantastic FFOs Kirsty. You definitely deserve to be smug! Those frames are gorgeous! I’m looking forward to seeing all your starts over the next few months. I looked at the Lila’s Studio when it first came out then decided no it’s too big 🤣. The fabrics you got are lovely. Happy stitching 😊
Thank you 😊 I look forward to starting all my starts 😂😱😂 the Lola’s studio piece is large but you could always just do sections. Have you seen the jardin prive chart Histoires de Moutons. I always think of you when I see it, it is compromised of 4 or 5 smaller charts that make 1 big piece but can be stitched individually-sheep everywhere!
Oh! Well deserved smugness definitely wafting through! Fabulous finishes! Those new sampler starts…whoo-whew🤣. My birthday is in July as well, but I will not be starting anything so substantial 😉. Yes, please join us in Mighty Acorn! If you do change your mind about stitching…you know I love that garden HAED. See you next month! 🤗
Thank you 😊 I was on a roll 😂 I will no doubt be starting Mighty Acorn 🙄 there seem to be quite s few people commenting that they are starting it too, is there s hashtag?
Fabulous finishes, you have every right to be smug🤗😉👌Good luck with your Morris man start- you'll be starting it on my birthday! I'm still in two minds as to whether to have a birthday start. I usually do, but I already have 7 large wips and feel a bit pressured!
Thank you 😊 you must have been a certainty for the May Queen every yr with your birth date 😂 don’t start anything if you don’t want to -this is supposed to be a fun hobby! Maybe you could pick 1 small motif off a chart and stitch that for a pillow then over the yrs you could have a birthday bowl.
Half way through … got to go to work (boo) so will continue tonight but just have to say what an epic finish on sleepy hollow! Love all the others too but as you know that’s my fave!! I just placed an order with 123stitch and it’s even better than £5! It’s $4.99 which coverts to about £3.83 which is just amazing see as though I can spend £2.50 at lakeside needle craft sending two flosses to me and they are in the Uk! Right off to work, catch up later- 💗💗🧵🧵
Thank you 😊 I know I do feel sorry for the uk shops but at that postage who can resist. I should imagine it will be increase at some point so I will just have to buy all the charts now - in an effort to save money of course 😂
Kirsty you have some seriously big whoppers on the horizon!! Well done for all the finishes, the frames you have chosen are fantastic (bargain from the Range!). This is just between you and I but I always have something on the way from 123 Stitch, the postage is so reasonable and I noticed that they listed some Scarlett Letter charts recently which I put straight on my wish list. Have you had time to plant in your vegetable garden this year? I enjoyed catching up with you today - Kelly x
Hello ! I hope all is well with you 😊 I do love a bargain from the range. I have decided to do a monthly order from 123 stitch for the foreseeable future as I am sure they will raise the shipping cost at some point ( well that’s my excuse anyway 😉) I have restrained myself this yr veggie wise, last yr I got caught out by late frosts . I have put my pots in, a few salad leaves etc, made an asparagus bed and am growing garlic and onions for the first time. Veg and flower seed sowing will start in ernest after this bank holiday .😁😁😁😁
@@craftingkirsty I still haven't cleared last year's veg bed so I need to get a move on for this year. I hope 123 stitch keep the postage as it is as they have such a great range of charts and as yet I've not had the dreaded import charge!
Wow you're pieces looks stunning! I love how you done your sleepy hollow piece. I loved the TV series of sleepy hollow. Where can I get the chart from please? The frames look amazing 👏 So glad you're going to the full weekend retreat next year, I can't wait
Look at all the FFOs. Your smugness was well deserved and I thought restrained. I think I'd break the camera with smugness in the highly unlikely event I ever had 6 FFOs to show. I'm sticking to the blaming you but I guess I'll jump onboard, returning the favour and stitch some wonky donkeys too!
