Thank you for sharing your joy and enthusiasm, they are contagious! I have never tried a stitch along, I wasn’t sure how welcome a male would be in these groups, but I will try the Treasure Island SAL. Maybe I will have enough comfort with SALs by the time August arrives and I will attempt my first Quaker (the one you picked). Kind of exciting! On a side note, there is an Amish and Mennonite community in a small town called Bird in Hand in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania. We visit there often and love seeing all the beautiful Amish hand crafts, quilts, and delicious food! Looking forward to your next floss tube.

The first word that comes to mind when I see you is Joy!! Your excitement for needlework makes me so happy😊 I've stitched for 50+ years and was monogamous. Then gifted each piece I completed. I wish I had some of the ones but do have a few of those charts. My favorite was a Victorian doll house. So I'm reconsidering...There's really one one design I stitched three times which was a birth announcement: a mother's profile with her baby's face over her shoulder. It was all stem stich, simple but lovely. I changed the hair and eye colors for each recipient! That was a kit from 40+ years ago. I'm an Aida stitcher and can't fathom 40+ count fabric with old bifocal eyes🤓 All your pieces are so beautiful Samantha. I loved hearing the story of your birth name. My mom names me for her favorite book Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm!

First time watching you, your energy is amazing! I had so many Told in a Garden patterns in the 80s, and when I stopped stitching I got rid of them all. I did get Farmer's Market done and framed and it is on the wall now. I would love to get the patterns again and work on them. Happy Stitching!

Great video as always. Love all your projects. I will be joining your Summer Quaker Sal. I am waiting for the pattern to come back in stock so that I can order. I was like you about making a project bag, but I finally did it . I watched elizabethcanstitch video on how to make. It was the fast and easiest thing I have ever sewn. It only took 1-2 hours to cut and put together. I want to make more. You should try. If you know basic sewing you can do it.

Samantha, regarding your fear of miscounting with your spring Quaker (basket) and not deciding whether you will do satin stitch or cross stitch with the white inner border. I would put a few (maybe ten) cross stitches of the white inner border as a jump off point for your basket so it reduces your fear of miscounting. You can always frog those ten white cross stitches and replace with satin stitches 🌷

Did you know that Nora Corbett's mom was Marilyn-Leavitt Imblum, creator of the Told in a Garden, Butternut Road and Lavender and Lace design lines? Marilyn passed away in 2012, but her designs are still in print and will be for at least the near future. I've done some of her angels as well as some of the patterns in the Butternut Road line. They're wonderful, especially since Marilyn only used backstitching for the faces (for the most part) and did not enjoy using partial stitches. The flow of materials is purly done with full cross stitches. I just wanted to add that note. Nora Corbett is definitely Marilyn's daughter, by which I mean that she has a spirit and imagination all her own and brings them to life in each design. We have been sooo lucky to have been gifted the magic provided by each lady!!!

Oh My Gosh! I love your flosstube! This is the third one of yours I’ve watched. Two of your earlier ones when you show your finished mirabelias. I’m so impressed with your daughters Nora Corbett. Fantastic for her but then she has an excellent teacher! Here I am at 64 and just ordered my first mirabelia. 🤪😂 I’m intimidated on starting it when it comes in. I ordered Miss Cherry Blossum with beads- my mother was Japanese and I’m wanting to stitch it in remembrance of her🥰-- I don’t even know where to start. .?? I’m thinking about stitching it on 32 ct white opalescent linen. Some of the Japanese pieces of art I have are done on white fabric with gold thread woven thru it. So I think it will be pretty on the white opalescent linen. Any advice on where to start, what size hoop to use , anything I should know before I start would be greatly appreciated! I’m excited for the Treasure Island SAL. as a top left or centre starter I’m a little hesitant about their middle top start, I might wait for the second release to start and play catch up. I really love how Owl Embroidery releases all these free SALs. The Soda SAL is super cute! They have an Anne of Green Gables one I am super interested in. I hope my daughters want to stitch with me as they get older. Right now they just hang out while I watch flosstube and my oldest likes to steal my skeins. That’s a start right?

But I wanna know how you can work on multiple projects .? How you divide your weeks or days for one project ? I mean for how many days you work on one project and then you put it aside and then you start the other one ? Or you work for one week on one project ? How many wips are in your rotation for a month or a week ? Please do guide and share with me this information because I have wips but I am not sure how many can I bring in a rotation and how to work on them all equally in a rotation. Thanks for all the fun videos you make. I just finished watching all your previous ones , and now I am looking forward for the next one 😊 I have four stitching projects going on right now, and I am not sure I want to add more before I finish something, but I couldn't resist, and yesterday I ordered the Summer Quaker pattern. It will take a couple of weeks to arrive, but that's OK, even though I really want to kit it up now that I made up my mind. I love the kitting up part maybe as much as I like stitching 😜 I have a couple of questions. When you stitch on 46ct and 40, do you stitch one over two? Also, the Spring Quaker, you are stitching it on 36ct, if I remember correct. Do you stitch that two over two? I can't decide what count fabric to buy for the Summer Quaker. I haven't stitched ever on 40ct before, and I don't know how difficult it would be. I do use a magnifying glass, but still. Unfortunately I can't find the suggested fabric here. I can find Zweigart easily, but not the exact color. I am not sure that Fiber on a whim exists in Europe, but I haven't managed to find it till now. Anyway looking forward to seeing what everyone else will use, really exited for the SAL even though the day after it starts I will be a way for a couple of weeks, but I believe it will last a little bit longer than that!!! Can you share how you stitch on the OwlForest Patchwork Calendar? I’m curious, are you using one strand? Do you stitch one X at a time or do you stitch in rows? I’ve only used solid floss and not sure the best technique to use for the multi-colored ones. Thank you!
