BENJI WATCH DAY 3: Benji started off at the bottom of the mat. Went off screen then came back to look out the window. Then laid out at the bottom of the mat took off came back (did that twice) and then finally took a snooze with Adriene to end the session

Today I had a challenging morning and first thing I did coming back home was to 1. Kiss my cat 2. Rolled out my mat. During the practice I kept telling myself to focus on what I’ve achieved so far and not on what’s missing . I’m just learning to be okay with where I am at the moment. 🙏🏽 grateful for this practice and the uplifting comments ✨

Yay! Day three done. I hit a personal milestone today - I got off the floor without using a chair for support. It’s been a while since I achieved that. Thank you Adrienne😊. I agree. Often the 30 day series are longer which makes it difficult to fit into my daily routine. Around 20 minutes each is perfect.

One of the best things I’ve learned has been giving myself permission to go off script when my body asks for something during a class and honor that. I somehow find myself back in step with the class in a short time but I feel like I unlocked a little gem along the way ☺️ thanks for always giving us permission to put ourselves first

Hi everyone, I started on Monday Jan 8, so today has been day 3 for me. I struggled with getting started, as I was very tired, had a headache, and felt guilt because I’ve eaten too much sweet stuff today. I was about to not show up, but I did in the end, and feel so much better! Thank you Adriene for this opportunity. I’m still a beginner and some movements don’t flow as easily, but hopefully I’ll get there :) see you on day 4!

Yes, it's such a beautiful way to connect with your body and baby. And how beautiful is it to really feel what feels right and find your own bounderies. It's day 3 and the 3rd time I ever did yoga. I found I kinda struggle with balance, which I didn't expect. But I love to start working with my body again, after soms difficulties with sports. Thank you Adriene, for providing. And telling me everyone is worth taking up space. That hit me. Good luck everyone! Hope to see you all tomorrow again

currently recovering from a massive burnout and when you uttered the words "you are allowed to take up space, you matter, your actions matter" so much stress and anxiety released in my body. 🌞Day 3🌞 Good morning everyone! It was kinda hard to get up today because I didn’t get as much sleep as I usually need but knowing there’s a premiere with a new practice waiting, helped a lot. I had like.. 5 minutes? But I made it haha and I’m very glad I did. On to making breakfast now, hope everyone has a fantastic day. 🌼

Day 3 Today was hard. It was hard to get up and get on the mat. It was hard no to get too frustrated at myself because I couldnt do some poses in a right time or angle. I cracked and popped what needed it, I stretched and I noticed how my mobility and flexibility changed. I got upset for a short minute but then I remembered that my body held tones of pressure, stress and anxiety for some time. So I forgave myself and kindly allowed to explore and finish the class. Going strong, cant wait for tomorrow!

Finished day 3 in the morning today! I felt less self-critical than yesterday but doubts still remained. I tried to move in a self-conscious and loving way but it’s hard when you are usually so hard on yourself in daily life. I noticed that I tend to play down my efforts a lot, telling myself that only following these yoga videos does not make me “someone who practices yoga”. I’m a little sad that it’s so hard to be proud of myself for showing up. Still, thank you all for today’s practice and I hope to see you tomorrow. I really love reading all the comments and the community is lovely ❤️

You are getting there. It can be difficult to go from self-critical to self-love, it takes some time and practice. Be gentle with yourself in this process, one step at a time. I believe you will see it changing during this 30 day yoga journey. ❤

Thank you so much for sharing my friend as I’m sure you are not the only one that feels this way and many of us can relate to feelings you shared at some point. The beauty of this practice is that there is opportunity to rewire and request a re pattern that serves, which in my opinion involves a beautiful recognition of how awesome and beautiful you just are!

Namaste on day 3 from Vienna Austria. It's 9 in the morning. What a great day! I made it thanks to Adriene! Although outside a strong storm is howling and I'd forgotten to close the balcony door.😂. Sometimes Adriene is a little too fast in her speech, as English isn't my mother tongue but I managed today and I know the poses. So namaste to Adriene and all of her followers. You all have a wonderful day today. I certainly will because doctors found out that my husband is not having dementia as I formerly mentioned. What a relief. What a joy! Namaste❤

Thank you Adriene for showing me a new 'how-to' in moving from downward-facing dog to forward fold at the top of my mat. I'm usually trying for a perfect a graceful hop and often times fail miserably (stiffness, early am) bummed with the 'fail'. But today your 'how' was 'WOW'!! You showed me a new way to walk it up that streches the IT band, as you mentioned, (very much needed from daily running) and wowwed me w/ a new graceful gift to my body. I will forever refer to this move and moment of enlightenment as the criss-cross walky-sauce (like the kids sitting criss-cross applesauce but for yogis). Gratitude and Cheers friend!!

Super humbling to notice how constricted I am, especially when it comes to the breath. It's amazing how much range of motion and breathing room I lost since taking a break from the mat. I notice these things then gently bring my focus to the how of the now and let my former experiences give way to the present experience I'm having in my body. I have to do this again and again, which gave me the realization that I've been avoiding really being present with my body, my feelings. Again, a humbling experience but I'm willing to hold space for this discomfort to see what it has to teach me. Thank you for the support of this community. ❤

Early days, brilliant you're doing this for you and also for your little one. You can slow the speed of video in settings to 80-90% if that helps a little too!

Thanks to everyone again! I have never taken one of the challenges on the release days. I tend to do them months or even years later! So, this has been really interesting doing the class on the proper day, knowing that thousands and thousands are doing the same. Today my pup, Skye, joined me (by sleeping on the chair next to me), which was lovely. Today my "how" was better, because instead of doing the class later in the day, it was done when I prefer; in the morning, as a part of a start of my day.... I felt that how I feel about my movements is very forgiving as I have lost my flexibility, but I can feel it getting better each day, and I hope to keep this important wellness part of my day from now on.

I don't know how many other people are already doing that, but if you're feeling it, I can recommend to write down a little something everyday. Something that comes to mind when reading Adriene's mails or whilst doing the practice or in the peaceful moments after... I started doing that during last year's 30 day challenge and it's really been helping me to understand myself better and to have a reminder of the journey after it's finished :) just a thought

I’m loving the 30 days even though I’m probably completing the day after you while you sleep in Australia. Just wanted to share this cute bit of info. Sometimes my daughter does the yoga with me but when she doesn’t feel like doing the poses she does Benji and copies him. Namaste everyone. You are strong, you are worthy and you are brave. I started this year's journey quite late. I was sick for the first couple of weeks of the year, and am only now getting started. But the foundation of self-compassion from previous years' journeys is encouraging me to be gentle with myself and not rush to "catch up" as I might have in previous years. Thank you everyone! It was a hard and emotional day for me. I was tired and drained. After 1hour after my two kids fall asleep I decided to show up. When this session started the message hits me and I started to cry. I was proud to take the time. I deserve it.

I already feel like I’m getting stronger. As someone with adhd it’s really hard to stay focused because we’re repeating sequences and my brain is getting bored but my body is thankful because it allows me to really feel small changes ❤️

I feel you! I'm so proud of myself for making it 3 days, this morning I already noticed the all so familiar voice that said 'idk if I feel like it today' but I did it! Noticing how good it makes me feel and telling myself I'm doing it for me because I choose to do something that feels nice, not because I 'have to', makes it a lot easier and every day I'm thankful I did it. It calms me and makes me feel like im finally getting in some much needed movement. (for me with ADHD I struggle a lot with doing things I feel like I only do because I 'have to', when I remind myself I choose to do it because I care about myself and how I feel, it helps a lot)

I know what you mean! I have ADHD too, and yoga is the only thing I can stick at for long enough to feel the physical and mental benefits. I think it gives me the dopamine my brain is asking for! My concentration and sense of centre is so much better after a yoga practice.

I am one day behind, but I chose to continue practicing one flow after another as Adriene said in Day 0. I hope to catch up on the weekend, but either way, this journey has become a place of safety, love and light this January and I am immensely grateful for it.

I had to rewind some of today's video, because my cat was watching with me and I had to stop and capture it! I think he likes the smooth, flowing movement. We're both looking forward to the rest of the journey.

My favourite part of the 30 Days is the opportunity to practise all new yoga sessions, and to do that with so many people 🙂 It makes January so much brighter and warmer, and that's saying something here in Scotland 😀

Day 3. I woke up feeling super sick due to my period and hence wasn't able to do my practice in the morning. In fact, up until now (nearly 9PM) I thought I won't be able to do it at all. But I put the video on and modified some parts of it, focused on HOW I'm able to move at this moment. And it felt good. I'm grateful for trying despite feeling like giving up and allowing myself to listen to my own body cues, over sticking to the video feeling like I have to do it perfectly or else it does not count. Thank you, Adriene. 💛

almost skipped today because i took a fall in the snow last night and feel a bit beaten up, but decided to give it a try before bed and i'm glad i did! my day 1 intention was to be gentle and listen to my body's limits and i feel i'm making real progress in that ^^

Didn't even realise my body was sore from yesterday's practice until I did today's. It was definitely a lot more easier today. Embracing the way my body is adapting. When Adriene said the hardest part of showing up is done I gave myself a pat on the back. Thankyou Adriene for this calming practice 😌🌻

Day 3 done and what a difference a year of yoga makes. At the start of the 2023 challenge I would not have been able to move into a plank pose, my brain (and body) would have said nope I can’t do that. This year both my brain and body are saying that we can do this 😊. If you’re new to these practices be kind to yourself, take your time and persevere, day by day there will be improvements. Thank you Adriene 🙏🏻

I'm a day behind, and tempted to stack Day 4 right on top of this practice, but realizing that I've achieved enough today by tackling Day 3. So far, I've loved how each practice has built upon the previous day, adding subtly and moving just slightly more smoothly through the asanas. Congratulations to all on your day's practice.

oh yes - day 3 and I can feel my body starting to ease back into those old grooves and rebuild its strength. There's a lot of tightness in my muscles but I know with breath and patience and love that will ease too and together we will find our way back to our yoga practice.

When I arrived at the mountain cabin this morning, I realised that I had brought the yoga mat back home a few weeks ago. I was gutted that I could not do my practice as planned. But then I asked my husband to bring it up - which he kindly did - but it was 10pm at night. Kids had to be put to bed, and at 11:30pm, I finally found 'my own 25 minutes' where I could do the practice. It was a 'must do' for me before going to bed, and I am so happy I found time for myself on the mat to share with all of you. It is now 5 minutes to midnight - day 3 check! Good night/Bonne nuit from Switzerland!

I woke at 5:15am today, excited to hit the mat with Adriene and others. I am so grateful for that excitement because it’s been missing from my life. When Adriene said just showing up is the hardest part and it’s over, I felt myself relax into the lovely flow. Thank you Adriene and community.

Day three in the big! For various reasons I've not done any daily yoga for about 10 weeks but the 30 day annual challenge has got me back, literally and figuratively. I've found it hard to do these flows slowly and find myself holding my breath instead of long breathing. I will get there though I'm sure. Thank you Adriene and all the people here with me today. x

Every single year I've tried to follow along with the 30 day challenge, I've missed a few days due to something. One year it was covid, last year was a sprain, and this year was a mild concussion. Idk why something in the universe is trying to keep me from doing this, but I'm determined to go on this time even if it takes me into February. I did the first two days and I was told light exercise like this is okay after the first 48 hours of healing passes. Let's go!

I've been on and off doing yoga for around a year and a half, and this is my second year doing YWA's 30 day program, but I'm somehow shocked this time around at how much I'm learning about myself and my practice after only 3 days. I've gone from really intimidated by day 1 to genuinely excited about my progress by the end of day 3. I had NO idea that I prefer doing yoga at night, but after two days of ending up doing my practices at night by accident in an effort to keep up, I'm genuinely so pleased with this revelation! The difference is huge for me. This is shaping up to be such a wonderful experience ❤️

Day 3: How. It’s the little things that matter. When Adriene said ‘We matter’, I found myself creeping the corners of my lips up slightly. This practice served as a stronger reminder that how we move matters and it’s the little changes that make all the difference ♥️
