Hi everyone, and welcome to FlowBites, my bite size Power Automate tutorial series.
Approvals are one of the most common reasons why we use Power Automate as a workflow tool. We all own or are subject to business processes that require some type of approval.
The build in approval actions allow first-to-respond or everyone-must-approve type approvals, but what about if you want your item to go through different levels of approval. What if you want an approval process that can scale to the number of levels that we need to pass through? Then this video is just for you. Enjoy!

Thank you, Matt! This helped me greatly in my hunt for how to set up a sequential approval flow after a very long search. I cannot thank you enough! I've got my flow built out and it's functioning nicely, but I can't seem to figure out how to integrate a scheduled reminder (when an approval is pending action of any the given approvers in a sequence). If you have any advice on how to integrate reminders, that would be great. I find a great deal of tactics on how to schedule reminders for a singular approver flow on-line, but its integrating one in with multiple approvers in the Apply to each loop that I can't seem to crack.

Hello Matt, thanks for this informative flow, just that, if I'm working on a sharepoint list, how can I update item for each approvers having their comments and when did they approved

i have 2 list , Department list and docuement list, I have a column “department name “ type of look up , which 7 department, any department has a responsibile to approve the file, how can i create a flow in the first level and send approval email to who is responsible of the department, i mean assigned to group dynamiclly who is responsibile that has been selected for that file... it is actually pissed me off. 1 week i can not to do this flow. please help me if you can 😔

Cheers - very useful! I imagine that as part of the reject flow you can have it send an email back to the original requestor? Would the flow have access to that metadata from the get-item?

Hi Bloxy, yes absolutely you could. You will know who has pressed the button from the trigger.

Thank you, Matt - Fascinating video. Would you be able to help me? I want to create an approval process in which I have a list of approvers, and in this list, we have departments. Each department has more than two approvers. This document has to be approved by at least one person from each department. Once all the Departments have approved, then the document is approved if one rejects it, it is rejected. Can you please assist?
