Same. My garden is rural and pretty private, but from one angle I can be spotted if a car is driving slowly. I've searched for green pj's, but to no avail. Would gardeners buy camo pj's? 😉

Suggestion, put a cute Mailbox on the pole that's holding your gathering basket. Then you can store some clippers, scissors , anything needed for your tasks. And they will be protected from the weather.

Linda, my husband and I were married 46 years ago next month. We spent our honeymoon in Victoria, BC at the Empress hotel. Across from our room on the light posts are huge hanging baskets of red geraniums, white alyssum, and blue lobelia. Every night a large tanker truck with a seat on top would drive through the street, and they would water them. The red white and blue looked so gorgeous with the British flags on the Parliament building in the back ground. I try to have at least 1 pot planted before Memorial Day, but definitely before flag day. Seeing your colonial flag, your urns would also look gorgeous planted with the red, white and blue.

Linda, Good Morning! Thank you for taking us along with you to your beautiful relaxing garden. I usually watch your videos on Sundays. However, I had off today and was able to view it this morning. I too love having fresh flowers in the house. To me it just makes a home so inviting. We are having a mosquito problem here and it has been 97 degrees. So, getting out very early and later in the evening has been crucial on the Gulf Coast.

That glass would make a beautiful vase! My daughters arranged for a floral design seminar for the three of us to take as my Mother’s Day gift. We had the class yesterday. I learned that if you place a hydrangea flower themselves into warm water for ten minutes to hydrate it, then remove the flower from the water, cut the stem on a diagonal, dip the fresh cut in Alum before placing it in the vase with conditioned water the flowers last longer. You can do the same treatment with dusty miller too. I wonder if it works for peonies too? Can’t wait to try it!

Your garden makes me happy. My dear Auntie, who recently went to heaven at the age of 93, grew beautiful peonies. Such sweet memories of the two of us in her garden as she was teaching me. I'm definitely not a fan of spiders, but that white one was a beauty. She had a certain elegance about her. I guess it was the white with pink touches that impressed me. I can only imagine how wonderful it is to walk out and pick all those gorgeous blooms from your very own garden. Hard work truly does pay off. Even though I am in the suburbs..... I still delight every morning when I open the front door and hear the birds chirping away. I have lots of trees, so they are very happy . And some have started building a little nest over the door. Your front planters look wonderful, and love the black Adirondack chairs. BTW... the front brick path looks amazing!!!

Thanks for looking it up and sharing about it changing colors depending on the flower it's on ...nature is so fascinating 😊 Sorry Willow has been sick 😔 I said a prayer for her.🙏 I also love herbs and I love lemon verbena too I put a few fresh leaves in my bottle of water and give it a good shake and enjoy my water even more. I have to have my flowers but I have become an herb enthusiast and make tinctures too for medicine. It's so fun to learn about them and their uses and making mixes for cooking. Gardening is hard work but it is also play if you enjoy it. What fun to get a spur of the moment date. ❤

The Peonies are just beautiful aren’t they? My favorite Spring/ early Summer flower. Linda, have you ever seen a yellow Peony? I purchased a plant last year and it’s blossomed and opened for me this week. It’s absolutely gorgeous, a lovely light lemon color. I think you’d absolutely love them as an addition to your Peony selection. Look into them if you have a chance. ❤ I must say your garden looks so beautiful and it reflects the care and love you put into it. I’ve watched since you moved into this house and it’s amazing how much you’ve improved it! It looks lovely from the front and you should both be very proud.

Among the many, many things I love about your videos, I love it when you show bugs...lol! That white spider was fascinating and I recall one time you went out to the yard, either at night or early in the morning (I think in the rain), and the earth worms were retreating as you walked along! Hi Pauline, yes, ants when the are first getting ready to bloom. They eat the sweet sap they give off and the ants help the petals to open by getting off the sticky sap. Once they bloom, ants are rare.

Yay!! It’s Peony Week!!! It amazes me Linda in how similar our lives are. My gardens have always been of utmost importance to me!! I will harvest about 500 peonies this year. I have already given away 8 huge bouquets!!! I have one variety you would love called Maxine de Cornu , now discontinued. I had a fun garage sale yesterday and you would have loved some of my items for sale! I did very well:) Pictures and drone footage was just done at my home on Friday:). I mix egg shells and coffee grinds together and each week I spread them thickly around the base of my tomato plants......extra nutrients plus I never get tomato worms when I do that.. Your gardens look lovely. Keep weeding, lol.

I'm so glad to get my "garden fix" when you post your videos. I live Chicago adjacent where it's was raining all the time and now we've got cicadas for 6 weeks. I enjoyed every minute of this, your gardens are coming in so full and lush! I have a pink weigela bush like the 3 you have in the back yard, and I think they are just beautiful. The front of the house is also looking good! The white flowering tree in the front, which I think is a kousa dogwood, is so pretty! Saying a prayer that Willow will be completely back to her old self soon, and Happy Anniversary to you! 💗

How beautiful your property is! It reminds me of the small farm where I spent my formative years. My late mother was always happiest in the garden.

Linda, I used a scuffle hoe or sometimes called hula hoe to "weed" the gravel paths in my herb garden. It looks like a stirrup and you use a push pull motion on the gravel, it cuts the roots off below surface . Good luck with it, it was fantastic on our hard red clay soil.

Yes thank you! I had one sitting on the black table next to me in the garden.... Ask me why I didn't use it. go ahead.. ask! The answer would be I have no idea! LOL
