Good Job. Looks like a Great road with stunning views. I can see why they have it on the list of Dangerous Roads to Ride On tho. "this route will put your driving skills through their paces" True that. Cheers Paul

That dangerous roads website is a nice resource which I have used a lot in the past to plan my trips - I have been in contact with creator a few times. He has added quite a few links to this channel by now ;-)

Your bike sounds great. Love that aftermarket slip-on. I listened to the Arrow slip-on. What's on your bike? Eric, Black Swan Odysseys

Thank you Eric. I have an Akrapovic slip-on on mine. No mods and fully street legal.

@MV: Da muss ich was sagen 😂🍺. Das war ein Produktionsfehler beim CRA3 ! Ansonsten CTA 2 / 3.

@@MotoVibes Hi, I also drive a KTM1290 SAS since 35.000 km. My tires were sets of Pirelli ST2. And at the rear I was very happy with the durability of 5000 km. But as Front tire the Pirelli ST2 was a catastrophe. Uneven wear and only 4000 km durability. Conti Trail Attack 3 Rear Tire runs and heated up well but lifetime was only 3800 km. That's not acceptable. I am still looking for a good front tire, drive currently the Conti TA3 and before a Conti RA3 with acceptable but not very good lifetime. But the best rear tire for my bike with acceptable life time and good traction until now is the Pirelli ST2. This SAS eats tires due to the huge power but the fun compensate all cost for tires and effort. I like this RC8 engine and this whole bike.

@@karl-josefmertens1472 I have made the same experience with the ST2 on the rear - the longest lasting tire I have had so far - it really depends how hard you go on the throttle - I managed to get approx. 8000km out of the rear - which is a bit more than I got with the CRA3 - approx 6500 km. For the front the CRA3 was good for about 8000+km - the ST2 did not even make it to 4000km. Similar style of riding for all cases. I ended up with a mix of ST2 rear and CRA3 in the front during last years trip to France - I had to replace the rear and the tire shop only had a ST2 as the closest thing to match with a CRA3 front tire. Others have sugested the Pilot 5 for a tire with good milage but I have yet to try it for myself.

The section seen in the video to the Hospitz is 12.5 km. From north, Davos to Hospitz is 12.9 km. See my video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k7IDUWzN-tE.html

Nice video. You did it after Stelvio? Was there in 2017. Question, how have you powered your NAV V bracket? With internal wires, or by using the 12v outlet? Got experience with both V & VI. Not the best in the world but familiar. Might consider to get a used V and save a dime :)

Actually I skipped the Stelvio this year - I have ridden it so many times now and choose to ride up the Umbrail Pass instead - they may be a video of that at some point too. My sat nav is powered by the switched 12 V power that you can access behind the headlight of the KTM 1290 SAS- I had to remove mine to get to the wires but Thomas managed to pull out the wire without removing it. There is constant 12V and switched 12 V power from the fuse box. It is cleaner this way but takes a little bit of time. BMW have done well with at least offering a factory installed sat nav mount - this is why I got the Navigator V in the first place - it was just plug and play. The hardware of the navigator / garmin devices (or any other motorcycle sat nav) is just utter crap - even the newer ones - any 10-year old smartphone has quicker response times than these devices and the screens just now have gotten a litte bit better on newer devices. The navigator V screen is almost useless in sunlight but like you said - I am familiar with them - they do what they need to do and I do not want to use my phone to run a navigation software on it - I need it for other things on the bike. I think if I had the choice I would go for the VI for better screen and faster response time but as an owner of a navigator V it is not enough to upgrade for me.
