No you can read the screen without it, but if you’ve pretty much any other brand I’ve tried have a back like that is much brighter and is visible during the day.
Did you get the thermocouple with it, to be able to measure the temperature? I didn't see it. That's not the only Fluke instrument that has a dire backlight either. The 1587FC I have is pretty dismal. Thanks for the video.
Will you make a follow up video to this one comparing actual usage between the fluke and the Klein, please. I am in looking into getting a new meter and would like to hear your opinion.
I bought one and found it useless. Max 600AC is a joke. No mA meter is pathetic. Backlight works like shit. It is the worst Fluke model on the market. Just a toy for kids - worth not more than 20$.
