It was great meeting you guys Friday night! The wind was insane that day-you guys made it look easy. Great Job Guys!!! We ended up with 5 fluke and 3 weakfish- My weakfish was 6.17- We'll be back at it next year :)
Obviously, the friendship between the 3 of you Jigging Jerks is priceless. I enjoy the banter amongst you, more than the actual fishing. As always, I am glad to see Doc being Doc and how y'all were thinking about is health and made sure he was not at any risk by touching a fish. That is true friendship! Great video.
Why would they not have a limit to the number of fisherman aboard the boats, seems to me in a tourney, a boat with 6 guys has twice the opportunity of a boat with 3 guys, somehow doesn't seem fair competitively... Nice job braving that though!!

Amazing day considering those conditions ! Would you have chartered that day if it wasn't tournament time ? I didn't even consider going out that day. Congrats on the fishing rod getting in production.
It is an annual tournament that always falls on the first Saturday of June. The captains meeting and registration is always the Friday evening before at Billy‘s by the bay in Greenport. The cost is $85 per angler, but the real money is in the side bets, a.k.a. the calcuttas. Calcuttas are all cash side bets between the captains where the biggest fish of those entered in the calcuttas takes home all the money. There are three calcuttas in this tournament totaling $175 per boat.
