As of 9/2023, this tutorial is now outdated. Adapty 2.0+ replaced Paywall ID with Placement ID. Update* Spent all night only to find out even the Github example code is calling Paywall ID. Waste of a day when they can't even updated their example code to work with their API updates. Example code keeps returning 0 products which is in-line with what other developers are experiencing with Android. Really unhappy.
Can you please share more information about subscription plan switching from one month to one year. I just want to know, Currently I am monthly subscriber, but I change my mind and switch to yearly subscription so in this case what about my current plan, will it automatically change to yearly subscription or i need to do something for this cancellation. Can you please share some information.
I have a doubt. When to use external payment gateway vs in-app-purchases. One scenario is suppose my app gives monthly subscription or 6 month gym membership plans ?. or another case is that my users can buy points paying money and then can use those points in the app. So is it compulsory to use in app purchases as it deducts 30% revenue ? I read somewhere that only for physical items such as in shopping app we can use payment gateway otherwise have to use in app purchases ?
Yes, you can use InAppPayments only with physical products and InAppPurchases for digital products. Spotify and Netflix allow users to register and pay only from the website to escape this 30% steal. You can do this if you sell digital product 👍
@@FlutterMapp Ok understood. So what happens if we try to sell membership via Payment Gateway in an Android app ? Will play store won't accept the apk file. Have you ever tried this.
Pros ✅ Better documentation, faster to setup, free to use under $10,000/month. if you make $10k/month with your app, then tell me how you do it please 😂 And if you make over $10k, then paying 99$ per month for the Pro version is like peanuts 🥜. The Pro version allow you to create A/B testing paywalls so you make even more sales/subscriptions 💸 Cons ❌ It cost you $99/month if you make over $10,000/month with your app
