I once had a client who was preparing for her first triathlon and she was told that she shouldn't use her legs to keep them rested for biking and running. I asked her to kick for me one lap with a kickboard, any way. Guess what, she went backwards!!! In order to 'not use your legs' in your tri swim, you have to practice your kick so much, that when you 'do not kick', your legs still propell you forward, instead of serving as a brake. In this video, I give you exercises to help your body use water, instead of fighting it.
