I just happened to be looking for a quarantine/hospital tank when I saw this and thought it would suit and at a good price. Ordered it this morning and it's being delivered tomorrow. How good is that..! 😊

do you like it? pros and cons as I am looking at this tank as well now. I currently have a fluval Flora 14.5 and love it, but don't need the CO2 as my plants grow too fast now

Everyday Aquarist wasted filtration system. The could have used all 3 sections. Foams in one. Biological on other and pump and heater in third.. Also the heaters m series mirrored fluval ones are discontinued. I can’t understand fluval logic

Light does not work with any timers. Ridiculous!

@@danfrohwein8981 I agree. Contacted Fluval and they won't replace it. Who doesn't use a light with a timer?

Great information. I'm looking to buy this but want to know if the LED light will turn on and off if I use a timer or will I have to touch that button every time. Thanks!

I'm in the US and here it's only sold by a saltwater aquarium website. I live in the bay area which is chalk full of top tier aquarium stores and none of them have heard of this

I’ve recently purchased this tank and I love it. However, I cannot see anyway to add a timer to the lighting. A normally mechanical timer does not work as the light only come on when you touch the button on the lid. Seems a shame that fluval overlooked this? I have seen a Fluval light controller, but not sure that would work with this tank?

Makes the light worthless. Fluval needs to step up to the plate and replace these lights.

I use a Wi-Fi Timer on my Fluval Evo (Salt Water) version of this same tank, and it does a great job. I just ordered this exact tank yesterday, and I plan on using a Wi-Fi Timer with it too.

I own 2 Specs and 1 Evo. The Specs have crystal clear glass, whereas the Evo has dark tinted glass. Does this 16 gal Spec have clear or tinted glass? If tinted, is it the same as the Evo or lighter? Many thanks!

Is the filter pump noisy on this tank please? I’ve just set it up and mine is quite noisy so not sure if it’s faulty or if it it’s just a loud pump. Thanks!

Hi, the filtration setup on the left. Can I switch it 180 degree (turn it around) and arrange it to the right? Because My setup best view from left and front. Thanks.

Erm if you mean move the filter then no. But you could just turn the tank the other way

Looks a very interesting tank and I like the way you presented it. Exclusively available through one chain aquatic store. My answer to that is NO - avoid the product unless we have free trade.

does this light work with timer at all? I've just got the Spec all set up and running, and found that light just won't switch back on with timer. after turning off it won't turn back on until i manually touch the switch.

I am having this problem too. I have even changed the light unit with another from my local shop. Still the same problem very disappointing!

@@danfrohwein8981 My light also isn't working on a timer. I called Fluval and they won't replace it. They claim no Spec lights work on a timer (untrue). This tank is worthless if you can't put the light on a timer. Don't buy it!

@@profiler215 No I went to the aquarium show and Chicago and talked to Fluval. I thought we had a solution but the company I bought the tank from doesn't have any replacement lights for the tank. I'm back to working with Fluval now... Haven't had much success so far with them
