For info check out: www.hpieurope.c... We're giving you exclusive behind the scenes access on the Savage Flux clip! Adam reveals what batteries we used and how you too can double back flip and leave your friends speechless!
this truck is so strong i recon you could pick it up, hold it in the air and chuck it on the floor as hard as you could, and it will probably have a scratch. im soooo getting one.
yeah, if your starting out dont even bother with a nitro or something too powerful. its just going to end in tears. get a brushed e-revo, you can get a brushless one, but its crazy fast as well. the brushed one is controllable and virtually unbreakable.
if you watched the vid carefully enough, which i dont think you did. he said he used 2 x 2 cell 5300mah batteries its a combined v of 14.8. 0:38 mark for your reference.
Honestly better then traxxas and my hpi rs4 evo + is amazin previous owner ran 5 gallons of fuel in the engine and I have ran 2 gallons of fuel over the past year. THATS 7 GALLONS OF FUEL THROUGH ONE ENGINE. Absolutely mind blowing and after seeing this trucm mh dream of erevo was killed and now I wana flux. HPI you can get a hand shake and a pat on the back for your awesome rcs and its a definet yes to this truck to be my next
hello HPI, I am now a proud owner of a Flux HP and have just watched your dvd... "Flux like a pro!" . I have to ask as I've also noticed in the comments from you two years ago " We recommend HPI batteries as used in our videos"... but here in this video you clearly don't use hpi lipos, but that's not my question... I want to know how you fitted those batteries into the box with those wires? Thanks
Found a bit of a design flaw! Its a bit crap to be honest. On the wishbone upper arm its held by a pin thats secured by a flat bit of plastic attached to the bumper. mine twisted and the pin fell out on a field! If i didnt find it i would of had to go a few days without my car and im only on my second charge! But i found it and put a cable tie round the front and the back to stop it happening again. It needs looking into because that is quite bad.
Are they the standard springs?! That's a hard landing off that kicker onto concrete. The springs that came with mine would bottom right out if I landed that hard. Be honest now....you've slapped some red stiffys on it ain't ya?! ;-) cheeky cheeky
What he does not mention is that the ESC will NUKE for no reason and it costs around $170 or more to replace. That said my Flux rocks and is super tough and super fast. Worth every penny and a scream to bash.
@underdogmotosports Nope, not bad crashes at all. For ages i only had it set for half throttle on the ESC, obviously now ive gained a bit of knowledge on the car i know about it and it isnt an issue. I purely wrap a cable tie around it and its fine. And "Prepare to bash with a Savage" video on here will have it on there. Since then ive had major issues with the drivetrain (i was running 20/44 at 6s). Now im running 22/44, ive done about 3 hours with no problems so far.
Hello i have a flux hp and erevo, and since the electronics on both are the same i used to contact caste creations for support and warranty issues. They have been very helpful and even have swapped the esc and motor once when i needed. How would the warranty claim on this new Savage 2350 be. Will castle deal with this product or should it be handled by HPI directly. I guess the esc is a castle product since it uses the same programing kit, but what make is the motor?? Please Help. Thanks
I've Bennett looking at the flux HP and the flux 2350 and I was wondering which one is better. They're really similar but I can't tell the difference. So can you please tell me which one is better and why?
@OfficialHPI You cant make a statement like that. I run 3 gallons a month through my Savage X SS. Are you saying my motors should last almost 40 gallons?
hey OfficialHPI, my friend just bought an savage flux hp, he's using twin 2s 7.4v 30c lipo batteries(NEW n good batteries "brand turnigy"). but his savage flux hp can't do the standing back flip even on dry tarmac. Please help my friend. One more thing Local Hobby Shop and some of savage flux hp owner not recomended using twin 3s lipo, because they said it may cause the ESC burn or smoked, please help me on this too.thanks.
does the the savage flux 2350 have to be set at 20% punch or can it do a standing back flip with out having to change it to 20% on 4s need to no reply back piz
i have many nitros and a few electric. save up for the flux, it will be heaper in the long run. nitro cars are fun but consume lots of time and money to keep them running
Hello i'm running 2 cell 5000mah 40c Lipos, the battery says its got a continuous discharge of 200amp and burst of 400amp do you think the ESC and motor can handle this power. Or should i program the ESC to be a lil more subtle. I had seen the castle videos where they advice that the fan on the ESC goes on only when the ESC enters thermal stage 1 is this normal. My fan starts running within 10 min of running. Any advice.
Well my flux does not do back flip it just does a wheely and then lands on its back i have run it on dry tarmac and have the stock gearing. I am running 2 2cell 38000 35c batteries this is a higher c rating then the ones in your video what is the deal.
the only thing that puts me off getting this savage is the cost a but on the costy side would not be so bad if thay sold the packs with the truck but no everything is sold seperatly
Nope, im talking about $60 NEW. in package. Legit. I bought Nimh packs from the same seller and they were awesome. when i get my flux ill be geting 2 Intellect 7.4 25c which will only cost 120AUD. ill PM you the link. :)
