I remember 2 years ago in the middle of pandemic I was feeling sad and overwhelmed, cuz I had to study for the biggest exam of my life and also had to learn english asap, your videos and your tips built a big part of my english, THANk you so much Ikenna. Just had an idea. What if to talk to NPCs in the Fluyo game you had to speak a sentence to them in their language(target language and possibly with the mic)? That would be pretty neat! :D

I think to really make this make sense based on how he's marketed it, the games need to look actually fun. What I see in the trailer is glorified matching or pick the correct answer, both of which are part of duolingo. Not seeing the appeal based on this

I'm wanting to learn Norwegian and German, I know the main language focus right now is French and Spanish but if Norwegian and German will come to this app I will be straight onto that kick starter page. I am so excited for this app, it looks like it's just what I need

Learn german first then Norwegian. Norwegian is really easy once you know german. However, if you already speak a language with a case system, you can easily start both! (I am a Norwegian native who learned german in school, german grammar was so hard but the language itself really easy for Norwegians to understand)

@@ingerjuni I started learning Norwegian first on duolingo and interchange between Babbel and duo because I'm wanting to move to Norway in a few years, learning German would just be a short term thing for my job. If you think focusing on German would be a better idea then I will give it a go! :D As an Englishman I have been finding Norwegian 10x easier than German

The intro "imagine if learning a language was as fun as playing a videogame" really showed how native english speakers will never have the joy of learning a language because you have to understand what are you supposed to do in a gta iv mission. Probably they know the joy of learning a language because some japanese developer decided to switch their game to a visual novel in the middle of the story, but they are only a few.

I mean your comment is kinda weird besides your grammar issues nevertheless It'd be better If you explain yourself better because I didn't understand whatcha mean, Anyone will have the joy of learning a language If they're interested enough, Native English speakers are able to learn as much as others and they'll enjoy the process If they want to.

@@Catimixto Yes, english native speakers are able to. That doesn't mean they have to. For many people, learning English was never a choice. It was necessary, mainly because a lot of the media they consume is written/recorded in English and has never been translated. Namely, old videogames. There is certain joy in learning a language as a byproduct of something else, where the language is merely a mean and not an end by itself. Most native English speakers will never have this experience, because most media is in their native language or it has been already translated anyways.
