Really glad to hear from you, Jean! :) I am thrilled that you like my song! Thank you for the lovely comments from France! With appreciation, from Georgia, USA! 🌻
Thank you, Tom! I am so pleased to find you here delighted! Just how you should be! I really appreciate your kindness always! Hope to hear you singing soon!
I love this song Nancy. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are covers of this. Thank you for sharing this with us my friend. Lyrically beautiful as always 😉 Mark.
Thank you my good friend! I so appreciate you, always! Winter voice...or lack of...but you and my kind friends are so good to hear my song anyway. All best to you, Mark!
Absolutely beautiful Nancy.Your music, art work and lyrics just always capture my heart..This is a truly divine , sweeter than sweet song The art at 3.13...OH gorgeous!.Bless you dear lady XX
Thank you very much, Ali! Yes, I think we enjoy a lot of the same songs and art! I am so glad that you enjoyed this one, too! Blessings back to you....xx
@@nllleonard I'm sorry Nancy, I've not posted anything new for around 7 months. I don't have a place to video right now. Our house is a jumbled mess and has taken up the room I had. As soon as everything gits lined out I'll be recording again.
@@DanielLDavis-df3uy Daniel, I so understand! I have no good place to play or record....or even write for the time being, so my offerengs are meager for now. I was a afraid I had missed something from you, with youtube notifications being unreliable. Blessings and good luck with your challenge, friend! And thank you again!
Singing and dreaming all for the sake of the song while walking in the light, or even in the rain. I needed to hear your voice and your words tonight. So comforting, my dear friend. Thank you for brining this night to a very peaceful end. Think i might do some dreaming of my own with a wonderful sound track thanks to you. Peace, love and music. ~ Mark
Hello, my friend! I hope you did have sweetest dreams! Maybe dreams about those beautiful little blessings that have brought such pleasure to your days! Was just chatting with another friend about what a blessing YOU have been to us over the years, Mark. Thank you so much for listening here and for your wonderful comment! Nancy
Love this, Nancy! Dreaming and fighting keeps us going, and creativity is the cherry on the top of life. As far as songwriting goes, I write my songs because it's something I enjoy.....if people enjoy them too, that's good. If not, that's okay. It's all a fun hobby for me. Shorts have added another dimension. Love your performance too, so lovely. :) Janet
Yes, Janet! Me too! Sometimes a song will "worry" me until I sing it. They are all sketches... but it is just good to connect with folks and it is satisfying to say what I want to say and to express my feelings or my thoughts...or even put up some pictures that I really like. I love your songs, of course, and your shorts seem to work especially well for you, too! I have loved watching them and have such a good time seeing the different kinds of songs you have shared in those little compact spaces! I'm glad you are enjoying those so much! Thanks so very much, Southern Sis! NAncy
@@nllleonard Although this is very unrelated, have you been watching the Alex Murdaugh case? A guilty verdict was handed down yesterday. It just has so many elements of a Southern Gothic tale. It’s so sad that he murdered his wife and child, hard to wrap my head around it all. Although sin will do anyone of us in at anytime. I don’t think John Grisham could write a novel with more twists and turns than this story. I hate to be depressing, but this is one story that grabbed me because of its Southern backdrop. Normally, I don’t keep up with sensational stuff, the news media gives us a nasty diet of that.
@@onewomanandsomesongs Oh my gosh, I know, Janet! Flannery O'Connor is probably sitting up and taking notes!!! My ninety-five year old mother just will not believe he did it...just too horrific to consider, I guess. Yes, you are so right about sin, and also right about this being something that even the best writer could have not imagined. Hugs to you, Janet. Have a wonderful weekend! Crazy weather here today. GLad it seems to have passed. Hope you are good there!
That voice made all the difference in your life, didn't it...... Tonight, it makes all the difference in mine. Let the rain come. I'm walking with my friend. Oh, the night is long and the sky is wide; we'll not be together. But we can see farther than our eyes imagine. And that's where I find her: on the wings of her song ...flying, flying, flying. I know of no song that has touched me more deeply. Thank you, Nancy. xo
Yes, you are so right, Linda! Everything definitely can be used for good, everything. And I am really grateful to have you join me walking tonight. Yes, rain here too, but who cares. So glad to connect with you in a meaningful way with this one, dear Linda. Many thanks for your most kind comment. xo
@@nllleonard Oh well I say what I mean and mean what I say or I don’t say much!😄Seriously though I really find your song so genuine and unaffected. It reached me poetically; spiritually even! 💗
Hello Andreas. (Never Nobody!) You read my mind! Had written "Johnny Cash voice" up there and "erased" it. It is my every-winter voice, in any case. Thank you, friend! You are so kind.
Wherever we're heading Nancy, I hope we go with some fortitude. Some of my songs touch these places, as only an old codger like me can legitimately say. " We're in the Zone," ( I say to my missus.)......and appreciate the thought of how lucky we are to have fairly good health still. Maybe my take is at odds with how you feel in this song, but that's the beauty also of interpretation. Always thoughtful lyrics Nancy, and this recording , of both vocal and 'guitar' has fine clarity and balance. For me, the best recording.
Thank you, Jim! I never wanted friends who are just like me...I really enjoy having different opinions. Times are truly different and things I took for granted have changed so much. I am old enough to remember not being able to get credit without my father or husband and not being able to sign certain financial documents alone. Having two daughters, I guess I am especially mindful of things going backwards in that way. Thank you for being so gracious and generous in your comments, Jim. My songs are never near the quality and level of your beautiful videos and you are very kind to me! Blessings and best wishes!
@@nllleonard Thank you Nancy. There are some things to be held in high regard for me , and that comes with much of the content of your song lyrics, and the gentleness of delivery. There's so much unsaid however, and I believe in someone of good heart. I admire always that your knowledge of the country /folk artistes over the years surpasses most of what I know. too. There are many facets of being a 'musician'/ songwriter".........and the best are only those with a good heart.💓
